"Banned from using voice online for one week"

Uhh… So what is this? “this account has been banned from using voice online for one week. http://www.halo4.com/ban”

So i haven’t even been playing halo 4. Yesterday/last night was the first time i played in a few days, and my mic is broken so i can’t even talk. So why would i get banned from using voice if i haven’t talked on halo 4 in days? I imagine to be banned from voice capabilities, i must’ve said something outlandish, but i haven’t even been able to talk lol. I’m so confused right now. Can someone tell me what is going on?

It’s an automated system. You get muted x amount of times, you get banned for 1 week. I see where MS were coming from, but some people just want to play games and not listen to other people in awful quality through their TV speakers, so just automatically mute people.

It’s not your fault, but there’s nothing you can do about it :frowning:

Gee halo 4 is great. i really love this game a lot. “its not your fault, but theres nothing you can do about it” i love that line.

Quit playing your crappy music in the background for everyone to hear the whole game and you wont get muted - lol.

vDean, it’s not Halo 4, it’s across all MS developed games.

-Kinect mic being on

-trashtalking

-Singing…

Just a wall of sound…

All of these things could get you banned.

Take it up when xbox enforcement if you think that you got a strong case :slight_smile:

It happens. A lot. For a lot of people, no reason whatsoever.

yep, sorry, but anymore if the group I play halo with plays MM (which we only do if we have at least 5 people)and get a random thats blasting music or other just plain noise or talking trash abouta team member , we will automatically mute them. But haven’t played Halo 4 for about 5 days now

If I may remind some at this moment, make sure your Kinect is unplugged as it’s likely the reason many of you are being muted to the point you are voiced banned.
