Banned from the Discord for being "Discriminatory"

Alright so, I was banned on the Discord Server for saying “gay” and “gae” twice, even though I said I was gay myself, my intention was not to discriminate anyone, I just found it funny that you weren’t able to say such words on the Discord Server even if you were gay, much less get falsely banned for being “discriminatory”. And yes, I have read the rules and I was not trying in the slightest to be discriminatory, as I have said before.

Edit: Another thing I might have to mention, if it was because of my status saying “a.k.a. -Yoink!- Cat”, that is my secondary name online, it isn’t meant to be offensive, just based on the pfp I mainly use. I also have -Yoink!- myself.

Is there a possibility that the ban can at least be lifted at a later date? It was seriously just meant to be a light-hearted joke, I didn’t mean to offend anyone or be derogatory. I understand that was a dumb thing of me to say, I just don’t want to be permanently banned because of it.
