banned from playing halo 4 online

who do i contact to see why i am banned from playing halo 4 online? i was sent no notification of the ban but when i go to play it says that i am permanently banned from playing halo 4 online and i don’t know why and don’t know who to contact. i talked to microsoft and they said i need to ask the game developer but i don’t know how to contact them.

Good morning.

You were permanently banned from playing Halo 4 by violating Section F of the Code of Conduct you agreed to upon signing up for your Xbox LIVE account by modding your Spartan-IV’s service tag to have items in it other than letters and numbers. As patriotic as ‘USA!’ is for a service tag, it is modded. The banhammer detected the modding and properly swung. In other words, you broke the rules by modding and now you suffer the consequences of that. Also based upon your game history and achievements from dates, I am questioning if you even have your FOTUS armor legitimately.

From Section F of the Code of Conduct: -“Do not make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents, including but not limited to tenure, Avatar, saved games, Gamerscore, or achievements.”

I hope this helps and have a nice day now.

Good morning.

You sent me some information regarding this in a PM, but incase the site glitches for whatever reason, I will post this here. Your trexjaws account appears to be fine with no immediate violations to Section F of the Code of Conduct, however, it appears your four number/letter service tag was modded on your thereclaimer554 account, as it has five ----- on the Waypoint Website, which is a clear indication of modding. You stated that somebody else modded on your account, however you are responsible for all actions on your Xbox LIVE accounts, as that is part of the terms of service you agreed to upon signing up for an Xbox LIVE account.

If you received a console ban from Halo 4, that is really odd, as this type of offense usually only has a profile ban from Halo 4, which means that whoever did this had both of your accounts active in the same party when going into matchmaking with the modded tag. That would result in a console ban, as it is against the Code of Conduct to knowingly play with people who are modding. The banhammer must’ve detected the tag and then multiple people from the same system together with the modded player and assigned a console ban from Halo 4 instead of a profile ban. Either that or both recieved profile bans for the reason I just stated.

From 1.8 of the Terms of Service: “For some parts of the Services, you may be able to set up additional accounts that are dependent on your account (“associated accounts”). You agree to be bound by this Agreement for any associated accounts (including those for minors) you hold now or create later and that you are responsible for all activity that takes place with your Services account and any associated accounts. We may limit who may use your Services account or any associated accounts or the number of devices from which you may access the Services. If you allow or enable a minor to use an associated account, then”

From Section F of the Code of Conduct: -" Do not intentionally play with someone who is using unauthorized software or methods."

From Section F of the Code of Conduct: -“Do not make unauthorized modifications to your account profile or its contents, including but not limited to tenure, Avatar, saved games, Gamerscore, or achievements.”

I hate to say it, but your ban is not reversible. I hope I did what I could to help you understand why you were banned from Halo 4 and why it’s not reversible.

I hope this helps and have a nice day now.

Man, I would hate to be banned.

I think the ban for adding USA was BS. Tney shojld have thanked you for fixing a long overdue option.

The ban was not issued for adding USA, it was for adding the ! to USA. Anything other than letters and numbers if seen in a four player service tag is modded. Modding breaks LIVE’s Terms of Service a person agrees upon signing up for Xbox LIVE Gold. With that said, exactly what option are you inferring to?

I think a ban over something as stupid as a ! is purely stupidity even if it was “hacking” or whatever you want to call it. At least he didn’t put fk or a for a couple examples. I’d be more worried about wall hacks, aimbots, or other legitimate cheating/modding.

Good morning.

FOTUS armor has zero to do with game history or achievements.

I hope this helps and have a nice day now.

Someone say FOTUS?

Guys. I think we all would hate to be banned from any game.
