I just started playing this game, this was my second time playing multiplayer.
I left a game with my friends to go join a game with my husband, because our game was full and he was playing by himself.
And then it wouldn’t let me play because I’ve ‘been banned from Halo 5: Guardians’.
uhhh… What?
Reading through this forum I now know the banhammer is a thing in this game, and frankly, this is complete -Yoink-. As far as I know, I haven’t team killed, been afk, commited suicide in multiplayer- and if I have, it’s absolutely been accidental, but seriously, if I get banned from this game permanently (because my ban has no timer) because I wanted to play with my husband, I’m going to demand I get my money back for this game. You people need to figure out this -Yoink- system.
I go spawned it the vehicle bay 3 times and couldn’t get out unless I committed suicide and I never got banned! I don’t know what’s going on with you!
You left a game though right? If it was in progress that might have done it. I’m sure it’s a temporary “ban” (suspension would be a better word)

It depends. It may have given you a quit ban (which is usually very temporary), but that is only for repeat offenders.
Someone else complained that the game banned them for seemingly no reason at all, and then let them back in after resetting the game.

Checking your matchmaking history, it looks like you continue to be banned for quitting.

I asked the question about banning and the legality which if not legal should result in you being able to get a refund but the Halo community didn’t let me down as I was curious to find out, link below(if it works?!)

Do any of you realise that you entered into a contractual agreement when you agreed to Xbox Live’s Terms of Service? People whining over refunds and legality when they themselves have broken a legally binding agreement!
Make me laugh every time I see someone ask for their money back. Also when you quit out it should have given you a warning that if you do quit you have a chance at being banned.

Lets encourage people to bypass banning software on the game’s official forum. That sounds smart.
I had one DNF in Warzone due to being disconnected, I certainly lost connection to Halo 5, my Xbox was still online, two matches or so later, 5 miute ban from arena lol.
i dont understand why banning from betrayals in grifball is a thing… it’s pretty much impossible to avoid betrayals in grifball…
