Banned from earning XP?

I came home from work today and logged onto my xbox and a screen saying my account was temporarily banned from earning XP came up on the halo 4 menu? I don’t know what the reasoning for this is other than my 8 year old brother that must have done something to provoke this on my account? I would like to know how long this “ban” lasts and if there’s a way to take it off. I’ve never had any problems with any kind of unsportsmanlike behavior or anything like that in the past and Im aggrivated that I spent $100 on this game and now I can’t even enjoy playing online with my friends because I can’t even earn XP.

First of all, just like with Halo: Reach, there is no specified ban length displayed on the ban messages specific to those types of bans.

Second, I’ll be viewing your stats to see if your account has participated in any manipulative gameplay. I’ll edit this post when I’m done…

As far as I know, those are all of the games your account has cheated with. It appears the ban on your account is, in fact, justified.

Like I said, unfortunately there is no way of determining your ban length other than, as I assume, contacting an employee or member of the administration.

lol this is funny…a little off topic but does anyone know off hand when the daily xp limit resets? at midnight? at the end of the days available challenges? also does my dewxp points waste away if im playing for fun now? thanks

why they would just laugh at you and make your ban longer the other guy showed the proof you were split screen boosting they should perma ban you

It’s just a little ridiculous if you ask me, a simple warning would suffice for a first time offense

I just got the same message “Your account has been temporarily banned from earning xp”. I have never cheated or boosted?? maybe its because of the amount of commendations i was getting or the amount i played?

If they’re going to be banning players left and right for insignificant reasons they are going to have a lot of irritated customers on their hands. Its a phenomenal game and Im a huge Halo fan but this just taints my whole experience now. I even bought a bunch of mountain dew for that double xp and applied all those matches to this account and now that was all a complete waste because I can’t even earn xp. If this ban cannot be taken off my account the least they can do is notify me how long it will be before I can enjoy this game again…

Doubt that! I bet if anything you were boosting/cheating for XP. That’s why they issue bans.

I’m not sure I got the same message I ahve not cheates on puourps what i have done is redeem codes from mt.dew bottles however i only used 11 i was unaware that once i activated them they got used when i played how long will my account be baqnned for i was aware that i could have up to 200 games per account but i have no where used this amount what is going on

I too was banned from earning XP, im the only person that plays on my account. i got kicked from a game right before for accidentally throwing a grenade on the ground in a doorway during dominion and a toomate stood over it. my death prior to being kicked was someone on my team killing me while i was protecting my base by purposefully throwing a sticky at me. i would like to know how long these XP bans last. im very disappointed in the system the determines when your banned. i did nothing wrong.
