So I was playing flood quite a lot today, and not wanting to get kicked mid-game for inactivity, i put my controller down on its joystick while i went downstairs to help my mum. I guess I took much longer than I anticipated, and when I came back to my controller, I was greeted with a message saying “This account has been temporarily banned from earning XP. http://www.halo4.com/ban”. Not that playing without reward isn’t any fun, but I heard the ban lasts a week. I only have a week left of Xbox Live because I was using the 14 day trial that came with Halo. Is there any way of contacting 343 and telling them my story to try and get un-banned? Or am I just totally screwed with the XP thing?

You’re probably going to have to deal with it, unfortunately if you’re preventing yourself from getting booted from a game, you’re taking up a spot on a team and diluting the experience for everyone else.

According to your story, unfortunately you are considered as idling, which resulting in a ban. Its not permanently, not severe, probably the ban will lift off after 24 hours since your offense was idling
