Banned from earning credits for NO REASON...

Wow so I just started to play Halo Reach again now that it is running good on xbox live on xbox one

I’ve been playing Grifball and then randomly today it said
“This Xbox 360 console has been temporarily banned form earning credits.”
“This account has been temporarily banned from earning credits.”
FOR NO REASON

I wasn’t cheating, I wasn’t boosting. I was just playing like I always do. I didn’t change my timezone to get more credits. I only had gained like 150K cR today, (didn’t even hit the cap) and now they’re banning me from earning credits… Okay… I’ll just go back to MCC.

Good evening.

Looking through your Halo: Reach Game History, I can tell you were not using Grifball to boost as almost all your games has a negative K/D assigned to them, so you didn’t recieve a temp profile and console cR ban for that. I also see based upon your games that would load for me, you did not have a guest signed in to idle, so that is good too, no infraction there.

Not all of your games would load for me, as a matter of fact, most of them wouldn’t. With that said, you were probably temp banned for one of several reasons based on having negative K/D assigned to most of your games. 1.) You had a lot of games with 0 kills, in which the automated banhammer considers idling, which will count against you., 2.) You did not finish alot of your games, whether being lagged out of or manually quitting them, which the automated banhammer keeps track of and will count against you, or 3.) You were using network manipulation to either gain the upperhand in Grifball, or to reset challenges to get more cR.

Based upon seeing a handful of games with 0 Score and low -spread despite getting a couple of kills, as well as a couple of games with all stats 0, I am going to assume you left a handful of games early, in which I will say play out your games completely, even if the other team beats your rear end sideways. In Reach, the plus to that is getting an increased chance on the Slot Machine Bonus being higher, upto and including the max 30,000 cR jackpot (Which I have gotten three times during playing Reach) as well as not having a DNF tallied against you that the automated banhammer will remember.

If the opposing team is using Grifball to boost cR and Commedations as well as what is called ‘statpadding’ (which is boosting their K/D) by exploiting the spawn points and not playing Grifball the way it is meant to be played, stay in the game and after it, report the players from the other team doing it. File a negative player review, Unsporting Conduct being the reason, and then File a Complaint and report the players for Cheating (As they are exploiting the map to boost, and both intentional exploiting as well as boosting is cheating). Also keep a save of the match footage.

Hope this helps and have a nice day now  .

why and I banned for earning credits in halo reach for no reason

I was banned from playing grifball too for no reason. But let me be honest here, I do not cheat at all (at least what I do I don’t consider cheating) but I’m a Nova and I get about 20000 cR every good grifball game. Now a good grifball game for me is when I’m able to hog the bomb and hold it without scoring for most rounds and nobody kills each other and we all chill. I get max credits (200k cR) within 5-7 hours everyday so I can get closer to inheritor. So I am guessing that I am getting banned because I find a lot of chill lobbies were I don’t kill anyone what so ever. If what you are saying is true, I’m going to never have a game with less than 10 kills again but I still won’t score because scoring gives you less cR. I think tomorrow I will be unbanned so I will do the same thing I always do, which is hog the ball and now I will always kill people and never stay at 0 kills. If I don’t get banned for a couple of weeks with me doing that and still getting max credits a day, that will prove your point and I will be incredibly thankful for you telling me how the banhammer works. Thanks for all the info anyway and if what I’m doing is wrong such as not scoring or getting max credits daily, please inform me so I know how to not get banned again, thanks

I have never gotten banned from reach so a word of advice do not try to get yourself banned reach is awesome

Actually, holding the ball intentionally to get the maximum performance bonus is a form of boosting, which is cheating. You are intentionally exploiting the cR’s performance bonus system when doing so and earning cR you shouldn’t have as you and everybody else when this is done (One player holding the ball and the other seven doing nothing outside getting one kill so the banhammer doesn’t count them as idling) isn’t actually playing Grifball the way it was meant to be played. Repeatedly doing what you were doing can earn you a ban by the banhammer should you be reported enough times, or if the banhammer catches onto your pattern, so hate to say it, but it looks like you earned your ban.

If you and the other players were deadlocked and stalemated in the rounds and were playing, then you earned the Performance Bonus fine, but if you and everybody else just sits around while one person holds the ball, it’s boosting via exploiting, hence cheating.

Ohhh okay, funny because I was thinking that hogging the ball every round would get me banned, so I only hog it for 2 rounds the most if I can, and I still ALWAYS kill people every game so I don’t get banned again. Thank you for the info btw! Now let me tell you how I play my grifball games from now on. I try to get atleast 5 kills every round, and I hog the bomb for two rounds at most, and I never score, rarely I score. I also try to make sure nobody scores and majority of my games, nobody scores and I still manage to get 20k credits a game most of the time. Will I get banned anytime soon from how I’m playing now? Anything wrong? Please let me know
