Banned for trying to complete challenges?

Today was a great example of how laughably bad this challenge system is.

Trying to get the challenge to get 10 kills with the gravity hammer. Seriously frustrating, because the gravity hammer is only on a few maps, and on those maps it doesn’t spawn frequently. So, I just started quitting each game that didn’t have a gravity hammer… I mean, without being able to vote on maps or even pick specific game types, it seemed like my best bet to complete the challenge.

15 minutes later? Banned. Lol.

This system needs to change ASAP, it’s hilarious that it still hasn’t changed 4 months after the MP came out.

Yeah, quitting matches excessively is a bannable offense.

Lol I figured. This challenge system is laughably bad, I can’t believe that they haven’t prioritized fixing it.

It’s just amazing how I can glance at the title and before I’m even in the thread I know that it’s some kid that decided to quit a bunch a games and is acting all shocked and surprised that they got banned.

Edit: Also…

Just play Fiesta. Gravity hammers spawning all over the place. 90% of the kills performed in Fiesta are gravity hammer kills.

Dood, fiesta.

@LITTLEFATMONKEY go play Fiesta. There is always somebody that spawns with a hammer during the game (and you have a good chance of spawning with it too)

Ah, see THAT’S the problem. There’s a system in place to ban players for quitting to many games. What you could do is use challenge swaps to get something more suited for you. I did that, though I don’t imagine it to be a permanently good strategy since you don’t get an infinite supply of them.

Yeah, I didn’t want to play into the way the system is set up, giving us annoying challenges as the only way to progress then trying to sell us challenge swaps.

I was neither shocked, nor surprised when I was banned. Just annoyed that the challenge system is set up as it is.

You also might be surprised to find that many people who have a different opinion from you are both A: not kids, and B: players/fans since 2001. Your condescension is hilarious tho!

You quitting affects the players that are on your team. As I have said to multiple people on this forum, the challenges are extra, not the focus of the game.

Play. The. Game.

Hilarious? Not the words I would use; more like pathetically sad.

You have an entire week to complete challenges that can all be completed in a single day….

People. Can’t. Focus. On. Playing. The. Game. Not. When. Items. Are. Locked. Behind. Limited. Time. Weekly. Rotations. 343. Industries. Should. Change. The. Challenges. Themselves. That. Would. Actually. Fix. The. Problem. Not. Blaming. Or. Deliberately. Manipulating. The. Playerbase.

Yeah, but his actions are ruining the game for his teammates.

So there’s that. I get that challenges are terrible, but he could’ve gone a completely different way about it.

Like playing fiesta.

Bro, it’s not hard to play the game regularly. If your entire point is to earn a limited time item, that’s on you, and you’re part of what’s wrong with Halo. I can usually play regularly, here or there jump onto the other game types to clear the challenges out, and make it within a 2-3 days. That is while I work, and own/operate my company. It’s not difficult. Quitting makes it harder for everyone.

So, again. Just. Play. The. Game.

No, actually; I’m trying to be part of the solution because I’m criticizing what is an obviously manipulative asinine concept. You keep dancing like the wind-up toy you aspire to be though. It’s entertaining for the audience for awhile, but still accomplishes nothing.

Yea… it’s not like I made an entire post about fixing it, and incorporating a medal chest, and stats or anything.

2 posts is dancing like a wind-up toy.

You can tell people not to quit… but it wouldn’t be a problem if the challenges were fixed. Seems easier to re-work the challenges than to convince the entire community to ignore them

That is not what I’m saying. What I am saying is that you are only compounding the problem, and causing more players to have a distaste for the game by quitting. Aside from the lack of content, and the challenge system, what does everyone complain about? Quitters. Cheaters. Etc. Quitters are still a large reason as to why people are leaving. How are they supposed to have fun being 3v4, constantly? Just because you don’t want to play through, since you didn’t get that one game you wanted to play?

HOW is that enjoying the game?

You just need to learn the method for quitting the game without it counting as quitting the game.
