I recently purchased the Master Chief Collection on PC, and have regularly been denied from joining matchmaking because for some reason the servers think I’m tampering with the system.
A popup displays that I cannot matchmake due to the following anti-cheat issue: Unknown file version haloreach\maps\forge_halo.map.
This is a file that came with the game when I purchase it from Steam.
Thinking it was a glitch, I would resort to quitting the game, and trying again, often times with success. Then, after after a match or two I would receive the same message.
The last time I tried, I received a message saying I was temporarily banned from playing matchmaking.
This is very upsetting. I am not tampering with any software, and now I cannot play the game because 343 Industries has an issue with the files that came with the game.
If anyone can help with this, I would very much appreciate it. I should not be punished for playing the game as designed. I just want to be able to play the game without the servers kicking me for no reason.
