BANNED FOR NO REASON

What the -Yoink-? i have been temporarily banned for “quitting”, so my internet is -Yoink- on xbox, its so -Yoink- that sometimes i cant play, then it leaves automatically because the net is so -Yoink-, i got banned for no -Yoinking!- reason, i know its temporarily, but i wished to be able to play halo reach today, i waited so excited in school, why are people even getting bans from quitting? i know that quitting is a stupid thing, and i dont so it, but they didnt rly think that one trough, because people with -Yoink- internet get disconnected

Good evening.

Even though your internet keeps disconnecting because your router times out, you ban was done by the automated hardcoded system created by Bungie. The automated system sees the disconnect as a quit and quitting too many games can cause the banhammer to swing as it cannot determine whether or not somebody’s internet connection times out, it only detects the leaving the game and treats it as a quit. The reason why you can be temporarily (Or in extreme repeated cases permanently) banned for quitting is because quitting ruins the gameplay experience for other people, especially if a person does it alot, so Bungie created an automated system that was hardcoded onto the Reach Disc to detect quitters/AFKers/cheater, etc. So by the automated system’s standards, you were banned for quitting too many games and hence ruining the gameplay experience for other people.

Hope this helps and have a good night now.
