Moments after completing a game of slayer, I was shown a red screen telling me I have been disconnected from the server. Moments after closing that, I was redirected to the main menu, for which I then went back to arena, and found that I have been banned from matchmaking. I was given no reason as to why and how long it will last. I quit only one match in several days, but that’s not the cause because I was able to jump right back into another match. I was banned for literally no reason. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it just a bug in the system?

Its not about the last several days, it counts all your past matches. Checking for patterns and frequency in quitting. As of Jan 30th (three weeks) you’ve quit six matches total.
Your ban is probably a short one. Take a half hour break.

Out of a sample of what? Six matches in over three weeks doesn’t seem like anything to write home about.

I never said it was a big deal. Hence why I think its a short ban. But thats still more than being banned for ‘literally no reason’

Quitting has nothing to do with it. I was not issued a ban on any one of the 6 out of 137 matches in the past 3 weeks. This is not a problem with quitting. If it were, my ban would be:
1: issued after a quitting match
2: issued a reason to the ban
3: issued a duration to the ban
None of this happened. If I’m mistaken about being banned right after quitting, please correct me. But I’ve been banned once months ago, and it was directly after the match I quit, not the next match after the one I quit.

But then it becomes a question of whether the punishment fits the crime. Quittbanned with a 4% quit rate doesn’t seem to be. Maybe not “literally no reason”, but it’s kinda like being arrested for having a broken tail light.

bans tend to lag a few matches after quitting/disconnection/AFK’ing. A mod can explain how it works better than I can.

I’ve never had a ban, in any game, lag behind. They are automated, so there should be no reason why they aren’t immediate.
