hello recently i was playing a matchmaking capture the flag match whe my terrible internet froze my xbox causing lots of lag. by the way our home has terrible internet so this usually happens. however this time after it un froze, a few seconds later i got kicked from the game saying you have been permenentally banned from Halo 4 matchmaking. i checked me email but recieved nothing. PLEASE HELP AND RESPOND SO I CAN GET MY ACCOUNT BACK I REALLY LOVE PLAYING HALO. and also i dont hack, thank you for reading this and i hope i can get help soon.
Also can i speak with a real 343 person about this because i went to www.halo4.com/ban and it told me all of the things that cause people to get banned but i did none of them so id appreciate to talk to a 343 staff to get this all fixed because i really enjoy playing halo 4 and i cant afford another xbox live account any time soon. thank you,
You can’t get banned for lag or quitting, I am sure there is something you are not telling us.
also i ranked up to level 43 and it took me a while so i dont want this work to go to waste

@spartain ken 15 i play this game without using hacks every day my account has no record of other bannings so it dosent make sence that i get banned just because my internet froze or something else 100% LIGIT AND FAIR so i dont know why I got banned and if i was cheating i would accept my bannship and not even post on here. @Aborted Enigma i know for sure i was not boosting on rejidice and i was infact playing with my friend who has a similar GT as me because we are in a clan together.anyways we were playing on spartain ops and he went afk for the rest of the game to watch a movie or something so maby 343 banned me instead of my friend.

You have spops games in your history with no kills or deaths, AFKing is a banning offence, also this is the wrong place, there’s a thread at the top of the page for this topic.

Regardless, you don’t get banned for lag. You get banned for doing other naughty things. Maybe the system considered you to be lagswitching or bridging host. I don’t know. Nor do I want to know to be perfectly honest.
I went thru your War Games history as well, and saw nothing. So there’s something else you’re not telling us. Whether or not there’s a quit ban is beyond me. I can’t see how there is with a JIP, but I hear from some people there is.
But, I’m going to have to go with the idea that maybe the system thought you were lagswitching or bridging.

The only thing I can see is that you either quit or get kicked from the game a hell of a lot (at least 2 out of every 5 games you play) and semi-frequently you get very few points in an entire game (0-50 points), but none of that looks perma-bannable. They probably mistook your horrible lag for network manipulation. Post in the Halo 4 ban thread and they’ll check it out.
How long does temporary xp ban last? I let my son play and noticed he wasn’t playing much and probably got temporary xp ban for being AFK.

A temporary XP ban happens when you max out your XP for the day, it resets every day (I think it’s around 12am whereever 343i is located.) I would HIGHLEY recommend not letting your son play matchmaking if he can’t score some points every game, because that will most likely get you actually banned eventually.

I looked and found one game that he was either AFK or quit at the beginning, I don’t know, the new stats confuse me. But either way, I DOUBT you could get banned for that, especially permanently with no warning. So either it’s something else, or it was a mistake.

i have not quit that many games maby 5 out of all of the games i have played and i usually get an average of 15-20 kills on a good FULL game for me and i think you are correct about the last part
