So both today and yesterday, I’ve received bans after finishing arena matches. Both times we’ve either won/lost the match, and then during the outro the match cuts straight to the lobby and notify’s me that I am banned. The stats from the game are still visible, and the final score is as well. Explanation please 343? Yesterday it was 12 minutes, but now it is 34 and I am pretty frustrated.
I did quit one match today earlier on, but that was several games ago and I didn’t receive my ban (assuming that is what it was for) until now. Makes sense.

4 of those were disconnections? 343 for some reason can’t seem to put into place a system to detect if you OPEN THE MENU AND HIT THE “leave game” BUTTON?

Majority disconnects. As stated in my other response, it is RIDICULOUS that the system does not differ a disconnection from hitting the “leave game” button.

The game can detect that, it’s the disconnect that is the issue. There is no way to tell if a disconnect is because of the server, your internet, or you simply pulling the ethernet cable from your router

Ultimately, it doesn’t matter why you left. Simply that you did. You left the game and left your team at a disadvantage. If you’re doing it enough times to cause problems, the game will put you in a time out. If you’re dropping out of games consistently, it’s probably time to take a look at your internet and ways you can improve stability on your end.
I’ve been kicked from the servers every now and then. If it happens more than a couple times a night, I just stop playing because it’s not fair to my teammates.
Question OP: do you suffer from disconnects in any other game? If you have another game, maybe the Master Chief Collection, load up that game and see if you disconnect from any matches. If you do not disconnect from the game, then it it something wrong on Microsoft and 343i’s end.

Yes this happens to me. I was winning a warzone match, and a CTF match. For the CTF one, the server lost connection, so I was booted literally as my teammate, who I was escorting to score the flag, scored the flag. I got no XP and RP. When that happens I switch to another game.
I live in Australia so it’s not the best connection here and find myself lagging out of easily more than 1 game every night, which is quite often but i’ve never been banned, so i’ts weird that you have
I don’t really understand the quitting penalty but i’m sure that you’d have to actually have quit to get the ban otherwise i would have had one by now
