So, I was playing some Swat, and then all of the sudden everyone on the other team quits except for one player. Now, in order to increase whatever chances they have of winning, this player continues to hide outside of the map. I continuously attempt to follow this player in an attempt to try my best to kill him and speed up this process. I fall off the map a handful of times and catch a few “suicides”. Then, I get kicked out of the game 30 seconds before it’s over and subsequently get banned for “griefing” the other players on my team? Wait, what? So, what has happened, is that I am receiving punishment for attempting to play the game that I was left with after the other team quits and leaves us here to run in circles. And then, while I am banned, these other players that quit are allowed to continue to play.
Now, I am slightly annoyed with the ban, but this just leads into much larger issue with the online play of Halo 5. Players quit or lose connection far too often in this game and it is beyond frustrating. Hell, it happens to me on occasion, very randomly. I can’t figure it out. There should be some sort of truce or something when games end up this way. Call the game a tie and give each remaining players a few xp or req points about it and move on. The matches drag on and turn into a hide and go seek game, which is no fun for anyone. At least, I don’t think so. But, I don’t think I am alone on this. This leads into another point. Would it be too much to ask for connection icons? So everyone can get an idea of how well they are connected to the servers. Just a few little green bars next to each players name. Or red, depending on their connections, obviously.
And also, can there be no review on the bans? Like in football. Perhaps an option to flag the ban from the players side and have someone verify that the ban is actually deserved. It is not like I was spawning and jumping immediately or standing in a corner nading myself over and over. I understand, that this is probably too much to ask, but I had to get it out.
