So there I was, in a Slayer game when a friend invited me to join his fireteam. I press/hold the dashboard button to accept, but only to find myself immediately banned from matchmaking for 10 minutes! The horror!
I didn’t expect to be yoinked out of the game, mid match!
The default behaviour should be to join the inviter’s party, and then when your match finishes, your matchmaking is controlled by your party leader.
Fireteam = Game. Party = Party. That’s a game invite, not a Party invite.
I mean you still left, should have just finished the game first.

i think he assumed he was going to get to finish his game and then after the game ended him and his friend would be on the same fire team.
Bans lag a match or two behind.
Looks like you quit/disconnected from two matches today. So I doubt this one alon is why you got banned.
Not saying thats a big deal or anything, but dont leave matches
Also, you shouldve know that it’s instantaneous to join friends. Thats how Xbox’s invites had worked since the 360. I mean, if youre on the dashboard, the game you were invited to will even automatically play.
Click the link in my signature “h5 ban megathread” and post there. That’s where this belongs

But… Not a single Video Game has ever done that. Has OP never accepted a game invite before?
