How does the ban system work?

343 have no idea how to treat there user base.
I had a mate you got baaned for 4 days for quiting 2 games… I think this is one reason why the game didnt do to well.
Its celar the game is broken - Gamer DVR - Xbox clips, Twitch clips and streams, Xbox screenshots, Xbox videos, Xbox DVR and more on Gamer DVR!
Sorry but how can I be banned but then paly 4 games before it then just disconnects me again?!
They don’t know how to teach their user base ? Like I feel like if you quite , in the middle of the match ? You should get banned but not just boy doing it once , after 5 times do 30 seconds ? 10, 2 mins, 20 ? 30 min but if you quite at the beginning of the match, you should not be banned or affected

It has nothing to do with the ban system. Halo just isnt a hot thing anymore and has been knocked from its perch and will likely stay at this level for a while. Im sure there are problems with the ban system. In most cases i think they should raise the bans but for 1 or 2 quits shouldn’t be anything.
People come here to play some sort of “victim” one quit doesn’t equal a ban. So stop lying. Odds are you either betrayed, went idle, or quit more than once. Every one who.has came here and claimed one quit as soon as you look at their game history there was always way more than one.

Does it it not, so when Ive had friends stop playing due to the way they are treating there user base.
Dont get me wrong I think if you quit etc. a 4 hour ban is good enough, but to ban someone for like 2 days for having to quit once as he had to answer his door.
Then he got one disconnect and an had a 4 day ban, do you think he came back to play the game? nope he sold it and moved on
17 DNF since the middle of last month. I’m sure there were more, but I got bored.

You don’t get magically banned for 4 days just because of one door answer quit. Stuff needs to build up, if he can’t deal with the game requesting him to finish what he started, then we are more than happy that he left.

Even if he did more than that, 4 day ban is a joke for any gamer.
The way my game is right now, if I quit one game, then I get banned for 8 hours. I have quit a decent amount of games, but I have finished way more then I have quit. I think banning for more then 1 hour is just insane and it should definitely be capped at one hour, anyone who disagrees needs to realize that most people paid 60 dollars for this game, you can’t be banning them for the entire daylight. 1 hour is plenty of time for people to realize they need to stop quitting, betraying, afking, etc. Maybe you could make it 2 hours, but that may be stretching it.

How they think this is OK is beyond me, also these issues are being made clear on certain youtube channels which wont help the game is any respect.

10mins (which is the first penalty, mostly after 2-4 DNFs) is hardly a ban but more like a wake up call
Again… Why do I keep seeing people post that they don’t get why they’re banned, and explain that they’ve quit one or two games, and people come back and try to call them out on it?? Rather than entertain the idea that maybe the servers are -Yoinking!- up again and again and booting people.
I am inclined to believe OP’s sincerity, and like me has probably had a bunch of server side errors (not internet connection related) and the DNF’s that seem so abundant, are totally 343’s fault.
I’ve only had one 9 minute ban, and I’m a very patient person, but on sheer principle that pissed me off massively!
I have paid for the game and the related services. I abide by their codes of conduct perfectly and will take a flogging just to not quit even if I’m 1v4. And my internet is second to none fiber internet. So when their servers boot me (and others) a bunch of times without any warning that being booted by their servers enough will ban you, I continue to keep trying to get in a full and fun game abiding by their rules, and wham, get a ban for their mess ups.

Thanks. Yeah for sure there have been occasions where I’ve been removed from a game, getting an error message saying “Disconnected from the server” or whatever it says. But today was the first time I’ve intentionally left in memory, maybe a couple of times since launch but it’s not like I’m doing it once daily or anything.

That was last week how the hell should it even get him banned for this week that makes no sense if you quit repeatedly thru out the day you should get banned accordingly but throughout the week, that’s just so stupid and results in someone to stop playing Halo completely especially with a 9hr+ ban why would you bother coming back knowing there’s plenty of other games to play.
