Banished weapons like hammer and plasma pistol recharge if you walk into a full weapon! I think it was really better the way it was before. I think it’s part of bungie’s legacy. let me know what you think.
For campaign it was kinda funny picking up like 4 plasma pistols in a row to get 6% more charge.
Prefer the change for multiplayer though as it rarely comes up anyway.
It definitely reduces the amount of weapons on the field. Right now you basically eat a whole weapon on the rack or off the ground to “recharge” it. In the past swapping it would at least leave the old weapon for someone to use. At this point i hold to drop a plasma weapon before picking up another to give someone a chance to use up the remaining energy.

I agree, I don’t know why they would change this. If they insist on keeping it, then at the very least it should play the overcharge/venting animation when you “grab” a new one. It just doesn’t feel right as it is now, in my opinion.
Nah it’s easy peasy and it makes sense too. I like it
