Cyclops better than Hunters (move and attack effectively)
The list goes on UNSC units are simply superior.

agreed. especially with infantry. I feel like banished infantry were really amazing in the beta, and then they were nerfed into oblivion, because now they just can’t hold their own properly. Why would I ever want elite rangers over a sniper? or grunts over a marine squad? I will say that hunters can still hold their own pretty well, especially fully upgraded, but everything else is just garbage for the banished.
Scarab is stronger than the condor by a long way (slower though)
Banished leader powers seem stronger and more versatile
Cloak and shields
Cheaper units in cost and pop. (mostly)
Better turrets
Shrouds
Elites can shoot at all targets (unlike snipers) and can be mixed in with grunts to good effect
Artillery that doubles as heavy air
Whilst the unsc have the raw muscle, the banished are far more dynamic and versatile.
Edit: Fully upgraded Grunts will beat fully upgraded marines when using equal population eg 40 marines vs 60 grunts
The unsc is designed to win in a straight up fight but in most cases the banished powers are better along with many of their units costing less pop while also being slightly weaker than their unsc counterparts for the most part. In addition to this they have more options available to them through the use of cloaking and shielding. In addition it also seems like some of their skills have a much higher skill cap than many of the unsc powers.

I disagree on hornets. Banshees with AA bombs wreck them. Cyclops isn’t significantly better or worse.
Snipers are OP compared to rangers yeah. Aren’t marines 50% more then grunts?
I strongly agree The banished are a complete joke right now, and it pisses me off. Everything the banish has sucks compared to there UNSC counterparts. Don’t even get me started on the elite rangers.
I feel the banished just have a higher skill cap and require significantly more micro. Between Engineer shields and Shroud cloaks, it’s possible to go from engagement to engagement while losing minimal units. UNSC is much more friendly when it comes to making mistakes, but the Banished bring an entire level of utility that the UNSC doesn’t.

I wouldn’t say the leader powers are stronger or weaker, just very different. For example, the banished have nothing that matches close air support in power and area control, not even eradication, because close air support is the gift that keeps on giving and you can literally walk out of an eradication to suffer minimal losses.
UNSC also has cloaking abilities, with the nightingale, and an invincibility.
turrets i’ll have to disagree with completely, They just seem to do no damage comparatively.
elites CAN shoot at all targets unlike snipers, but why do you want your marksmen to be shooting at all targets? You want them to focus down infantry to maximum effect, the marines/grunts around them should be the anti-air shield. I’d really rather have one unit that’s good at one job rather than one unit that sucks at every job but can do more than one thing.
I’m not necessarily disagreeing about a buff, but I feel the Banished being a little weaker makes more sense canonically. They’re survivors and scavengers, winning on guerilla tactics and deception because they’re not necessarily as strong as the UNSC in brute force. It makes playing them feel a little more challenging and thought provoking.
I also don’t necessarily think the Banished should be an outright copy of the UNSC’s units. If the Cyclops aren’t identical to the Hunters, that isn’t bad. They might just have their strengths and weaknesses balanced differently and a different unit might work better for the job than what seems the most logical.

I play shipmaster and the only compliant I have with the banished is its very hard to get to the late game vs unsc. It is also false that unsc units are superior.

Grunts are fine, they cost one less pop and 50 less supply. They are completely fine.
Rangers are completely crap.
Wraiths are a joke, but then again so is the scorpion.
Hunters are incredibly slow.
But Banshees are better than hornets.

I like the Banished turrets better because they can be triple upgraded to counter all. Whereas the UNSC turrets can only support one upgrade.
I don’t know. Im torn because your right about the infantry. But the Banished Base defenses are almost impossible to crack
The only Banished infantry unit that needs a buff is the Ranger for either damage or range.
The big thing I’m conflicted about is people are claiming the banished have a higher skill ceiling but if that were the case shouldn’t the top csr players be playing banished over UNSC then?

Yes but the top CSR players are noobs that will only use forge cutter and Anders because they are not actually good rts players they have just figured out how to do a rush that works 75 percent of games but don’t worry once people realize how easy it is to stop the jack rabbit rush and they nerf the speed on sentinels you will start seeing other leaders
