The fact that banished can cloak AND shield their bases is absurd.
>Playing as Forge against (Pavium/Voridus, can’t remember which) on Badlands 1v1
>Take control of map early on, defeat his army
> have 3 Bases, + all mini bases
>roll into his second base with a mix of grizzly’s, nightingales and hornets, and forgehog.
>beat my way through his army (which is CLOAKED AND SHIELDED by his base, while getting shelled by his mega turrets at his main base on the hill.
>barely make a dent
>come back with mass air, (hornets, nights) only to be wrecked by a handful of CLOAKED AND SHIELDED reavers.
>rinse and repeat with combination after combination, including kodiaks at on point to try to soften from a distance, condor, mass grizzlys, mass vultures, you name it.
>nothing can break through because I have to waste population on wolverines, nightingales (couldn’t do anything with snipers as the mega turret wasted them immediately) to “SEE” the enemy base.
>Enemy would stop cleansing beam, make his units invincible, and heal his units + base every time, while his mega turrets shelled any ground units I had
>this allowed him to exclusively build reavers to counter any air I had, rendering every unit combo useless.
>Finally quit after 90+ mins of this.
At what point is someone going to nerf the banished?
I wrote a post some 3 years ago regarding the same exact scenario, and that guy didn’t even have mega turrets, just one base, a scarab and some reavers.
Banished Ed should not be able to cloak AND shield their bases, it’s absurd seeing as the UNSC has no fancy base defense powers. Hell, we don’t even get a mega turret equivalent.
This “Turtling” garbage is just insufferable.
It’s to the point that UNSC isn’t viable.
Again, there needs to be some reward for map control after a certain point to allow a larger army to be built or else there is no way to break through someone just sitting back in their shielded AND cloaked base(s).
Anyway, that’s enough yelling into the void for today.
Cheers.
