All Banished and Covinet leader beams are way too strong or need to be slowed down ALOT. They shouldn’t be able to destroy every last unit that’s upgraded to tier 3( Marines Hornets and tanks) and hornets arent faster than the beam…? Wtf

If your losing hornets to Beam, the Bean is not the issue but rather you need to split your units.
It’s fine where it’s at, just split units and you will be fine. Too many people cluster units together and whine about the beam being overpowered because they just want to let the army sit there.
I personally think that beam should be changed from 10 seconds to 7 seconds. but that’s just me. I think the dps is fine.

Do you mean max damage or the damage per second? If you reduced it’s duration by 3s without reducing max damage, thats about a 30% buff to Glassing Beam. Of course if you mean dps, then i’m fine with that. Currently, the main issue is not the short telegraph or the dps but the amount of time you must split and run your units with this ability active.

As a Shipmaster user, i can see why people get upset that Glassing Beam kills almost anything in its path, however, it is the only special ability we get.
Redusing the duration from 10sec -> 7sec is a huge handicap. Things like tanks at max survive the blast, and with people actually splitting up it already renders it useless in some situations.
Not to mention the fact the user has to control the beam. Within those ten seconds many things can be done:
-I could remove my units out of the way (they could be getting destroyed or bombed
-I could help push
-I could move my units to help out defend a base or a teammate
-I could continue to build up a base
-i could start rebuilding my army and build counter units
In a game like this, 10 seconds can really change how a game goes. So if anything, I would pretty much tell you to learn how to split your units, or find a way to take it vantage of those 10 seconds that people like me cannot do anything

Shipmaster can move an oppositions army half way across the map and has access to one of the best drops in the game.
Claiming that all Shipmaster has is GB is trivial.
10 seconds is nothing when your opponent is losing over 40 pop. Especially when GB reaches level III. At that point, splitting doesn’t even matter.
There’s a reason GB III is banned in most competitive settings.
Laslty, Wall is a pretty damn good player. He knows he’s doing and knows how to split his units.

I mean that the beam has the same damage per second as it does not, but it last for 3 fewer seconds. I actually think that would bring all 3 levels of beam in line with other nukes. But that’s just my opinion.

Saying that beam is all shipmaster has is not an accurate statement. Between teleport, extraction, and displacement, he has complete control over where engagements happen which is incredibly valuable, especially considering that a teleport or an extraction can negate most other leader powers. His hero is also amazing at early game harassment and suppression, especially on tighter maps against banished. Finally, spirit support is the hands down best drop in the game, especially in a banished counter ball meta, and those vet units go a long way in keeping a mid game push a live.
Trust me, I have played a lot of games and I know how to split, but there is only so much you can do in certain situations and those extra 3 seconds could be the difference with escaping with 20 lost pop and losing an entire push. This is something that I have talked about with a lot of people within the competitive community and most people are on board with some sort of duration nerf since it will also even out some of the other banished leaders. And I will go on the record saying that any leader power that causes a 50 pop swing like beam can is a poor game play mechanic and a toxic attribute of the meta.
Putting it that way i do realise how much I heavily rely on GB. I will admit i never really used Extraction unless i was really desperate to save my units since by mid game where everyone is just attacking i would already have a good economy i wouldnt really worry about pumping out troops and running out of resources. Tactical Gateway, i would use to shorten the distance between my allies bases since would very often encounter people with pure Air Units and i would need to go and help deffend rather than attack.
I remember watching yodas stream a few months ago. He was using shipmaster and didn’t even use the beam, was mostly winding people up with jpb stun/mine/displacement. That was basically an army wipe at the time aswell.
I feel like beam should move a bit slower and/or reduced time also. Even the lower tiers if beam hammer your army if you cant split quick enough.

Yes this is something I need to work on more dosent help that i play on satelite internet and or a hotspot so by the time anything can be done my army is wasted but of course the internet is my personal issue just wondering others opinions on it

Ok. Good idea. Not only your idea. It does do a very good amount of damage but kiting and spreading for 10secs is enough time for your army to die.
