Banished Downside

I must admit as a huge fan of Halo Wars 1, Halo Wars 2 is a great game.
However, my only problem with Halo Wars 2 is the speed of the Banished units is so slow and the maps on this game are pretty big. Its hard to defend against the various types of aircraft on the UNSC side. That is why the aircraft unit Vampires in HW1 should have been added into HW2. Banshee’s are the only real attack aircraft the Banished army has and we all know banshee’s stand no chance against the UNSC’s aircraft arsenal. At least with Vampires in HW1 it gave us a chance to guard multiple bases around the map fast and efficiently before the base got destroyed. And in HW2 bases are like jello and are easy to destroy, so time and speed plays a huge factor. I hope with the next add-on content release Vampires and the Prophet will make their return to even the playing field. Also, why is the Blisterback in the Banish aircraft Apex building, the Blisterback is more of a stationary vehicle that needs to be in the Banish vehicle Foundry building. If anything Reavers should have a locked ability to jetpack across the map and therefore should be in the Apex building instead and not in the Foundry building.

What if reavers worked like vikings in SC2, that’d be so awesome haha.

Blisterback is fine on the apex, have you ever used it without locking down? That thing actually deals a lot of damage.

I’m not sure what SC2 is but I’m sure the Blisterback is a powerful vehicle… it better be considering it takes up 8 unit spots per. All I’m saying is the Banished needs another attack or counter aircraft. If not upgrade Reavers so they can fly across the map instead of just across a base.

Banished are totally fine when it comes to AA. The banshees on T3 with plasma torpedoes are monsters although a bit expensive. And reavers can jump to be a bit more mobile, but maybe they should do more damage considering they are 5 pop.

No, I think you got it backwards. Reaver’s are deadly on level 3, if more power is added to them then they’ll be completely unfair to the UNSC’s aircraft. Also, Reavers can jump but even that is limited to one jump per load. That is why if their jetpack jumps are going to be limited at least let the distance of their jump be far greater than what it is now. Banshee’s are trash against the UNSC aircraft.

I Second this, I was on the same boat complaint bout banshees performance, then I took a look at plasma torpedos and -Yoink!- they reck. I now use banshees more to counter air than aa

As an SC2 player, I agree with this statement haah!

But still, I think it would have to be tuned correctly, Viking’s are/were weak when they landed, so the Reavers would have to have a weakness they would give in turn for being able to fly. Not that this would happen, but would still be great!
