I hate join in progress for games, so I’d rather they don’t add it.

You get some people who just quit right near the end of the game and so you join just to see a losing screen then have to search again. In Overwatch you frequently join games as the DEFEAT comes up. The saving grace is they give you a decent exp bonus for wasting your time. It is so dumb, why do people quit when the game is about to end, pointless.

I think punishments for quitters should remain as they are to deter it as much as possible.

The banhammer might be a weapon you can buy in the store

JIP prob wont be a thing given they plan to put in bots to fill the spots for players that left. The bots will prob scale on ranking if its a ranked mode. Social will prob have one level being the mid difficulty

Hopefully the game will have a robust banhammer that adequately deters quitters, idlers, griefers, and other such disruptions to normal gameplay.

I want a dunce server similar to GTA. If you team kill, AFK, or quit early enough times, you’re relegated to dunce servers for a certain amount of time. That way they can play with the people exactly like them and realize how horrible it is to play a game when half of your team quits.

I’d like to be able to rejoin a game if I’m dropped for some reason.

Perhaps take this further and prevent players from starting a new game until the dropped/quit game is finished.

Exactly. The worst feeling is being temp banned for not doing anything malicious.

I feel like you should be able to get the option to choose whether you want to join mid-game, since I don’t particularly have a problem with that. But I definitely agree that quitters should get punishment. It just sucks having people quit and then being down a man or two the rest of the game while our team gets crushed, especially in objective game types like ctf.

I thought they said that was for Customs-only? If it is for MM as well, I can’t see it being a thing in Ranked, just Social.

With better ‘checks’ in place (i.e. don’t allow a game to be joined if one flag away from game end, X amount of points away from game end, etc) it’d be better, but I’d take any form of JIP over “Auto Balance” ugh. One of the things that eventually made me stop playing certain games online because it’d say “Oh, you’re one of the top performing players on the winning team? Seems the enemy’s getting roflstomped. Allow me to switch you over to their team, and reset your score in the process!” way too often.

It has to include that, as instability can be easily simulated.

Hopefully it would be a free-to-play game if they ban for quitting. It’s petty and deminishes the value and quality to be paying for game that aims to control and dictates your physical attention. A ban for quitting a session you don’t want to play is cruel and bullish, whoever incorporated this into Halo had a wild manipulative singleminded perspective. I’ve never been down that deep hole to be irritated when opponents quitted a game against me; I took it as humor but there are some people out there who takes it offensive, who demand others to not leave and sadly, those are the players this game banhanmer caters to, “tryhards”, rhymes with “retards”. It’s best to get all your tryhards together and only them to play together, problem solved; not everyone is intrigued by that bs. I will not buy it, nor the new series Xbox; Halo was my only initiative to buy an Xbox but not anymore, I’m done with this nonsense type of ban system in halo.

Even with the bots quiters should still be punished if they do it enough.
