so i played a game and in the first minute my whole team quit leaving me to finish the game. instead of going through the game and getting killed 50 times i quit the game. because of this i was banned from playing via “ban hammer” for over 8 hours. this is completely unfair and i don’t know who to call or contact to fix this due to the situation and it being completely unfair. can anyone help??
10 of your last 30 Arena games have been DNFs. It’s not one particular instance of quitting that got you banned, it’s the fact that you’ve quit 1/3 of your last 30 matches.
but most of the time when i quit it is because team mates are leaving. and this one particular time everyone left. is there ANY WAY to get this over 8 hour ban pushed just one time. i pay for online and for this game and to be banned for over 8 hours on a Saturday night is very unfair i feel

The system seems to have a delay for bans, so if you’ve previously quit then it may take a match to register before it kicks in.
Other people pay to play the game as well, not have teammates quit on them. I can understand leaving a game if it’s 1v4, maybe 2v4 (in this instance the smaller team can be an advantage, if you know how to use it and the other team isn’t coordinated), but quitting 3v4 just doesn’t make sense. Regardless, it looks like most of your DNFs happen when you’re losing, even with all three other teammates having a decent amount of kills.
The ban system isn’t perfect, but having such a high percentage of DNFs just doesn’t make sense. If you’re losing, deal with it. That’s the nature of the game. Teammates will quit on occasion, but that doesn’t mean that you’re going to lose. Play the game out, play strategically, and realize that it’s just a game when all is said and done.

10 DNF in 30. Quitting ruins the experience for your teammates, and for your opponents who have to spend the whole match hunting one or two enemies.
You don’t pay for the right to play halo online. You bought the game and agreed to the rules of conduct, if you break those rules then 343 reserves the right to not let you play on their servers. Feel free to play campaign in the mean time.

this is outrageous. act like quitting the game is such a terrible thing and ruins the game for people. i quit when people quit. there should be a filter that justifies the circumstances and understands the situation. an 8 hour ban for quitting a game tonight is unjustifiable. the first game i played everyone of my teammates quit and i was frustrated so i quit as well. what about the people ruining it for me.
this halo by far has the worst problems out of any halo. you would think with all the “geniuses” working on this game it would be flawless and considering its the 5th halo ( not including ODST and Reach) you would take the good things from all games and make it a great game. instead you take map voting out (which is so dumb considering i get stuck playing maps 3 even 4 games in a row) and taking out team br. doubles on holidays even though that should be a season long matchmaking along with snipers. why would you ever feel the need to take those things out of the game. made it much worse and i have heard many people complain about this halo. still making your billions so i guess you don’t care. as long as you guys are in control there will always be flaws to make people itch for the next one. merry xmas and thanks for the sympathy on the reason i get banned for 8 hours. reading pervious forums i can tell a lot of people think this is bull and unfair. nice job 343
I got banned for a while due to server disconnects, which I couldn’t do anything about. Was I frustrated? Sure. I’ve had games where it was 2v4, and still managed to hold my own to a degree. Was I frustrated? Hell yes. It’s a video game, it happens. If you didn’t quit, there wouldn’t be a problem. I am curious to see how many DNFs it takes for a permaban though, so keep on doing what you’re good at and get back to me when you figure it out

if i get permanently banned then thank god for new accounts. guess i will be more careful about quitting but didn’t know things like this could happen from stopping a game. regardless of the reason.
and i know its a video game trust me I’m not one of those 5 year old kids you see screaming on youtube at the game. if i quit its for a reason not just cause I’m losing.
I agree with you SupaMario90. If everyone leaves why should you have to stay. At what point was a game suppose to be work and not fun. Besides that, matchmaking is horrendous. 9 out of ten games are blowouts. Not fun no matter what side you are on. If your team sucks or leaves, why should you have to stay. If the teams were created evenly, less people would quit. 343 sucks. Guitarplyr123 should get off your soapbox and stop lecturing. Get a life and move out of your parents’ basement.
There is no shame in quitting when the rest of your team does. But because everyone else quits doesn’t mean the games over, you could (theoretically) still win…
