So I just don’t get how after however many updates, they still haven’t fixed the banhammer. I lagged out of an arena match and got banned for 3 hours, which already irritated me. TO vent my fristration, I go into warzone assault and play a match just fine, getting the XP and the REQ. To avoid waiting the 40-odd seconds in the intermission, I choose to back out into the main menu.
After doing this, i’m hit with another ARENA banhammer that now lasts me 9 hours!
I don’t understand why 343 STILL haven’t fixed the issue of the banhammer being struck on players that didn’t mean to leave. I wasn’t even playing arena and yet I get an 9 hour banhammer? Okay 343, your logic is perfect.
This has been spoken about SO MANY TIMES and yet they dont do anything to change it / improve it, because they’re too busy worrying about these updates that dont even include relevant things.
It’s got to the point now where i’m close to giving up on 343 and Halo in general, simply because of all the crap that happens in this game. The Farming in warzone, the Lag-switchers and poor connection in Arena, the REQ system that removed the idea of armour having value.
I really hope we can start some form of poll or petition to get this stupid banhammer system fixed, because so many people suffer the same problem.

The problem I had was I admittedly quit 2 matches beforehand, but lagged out the third, leading to the ban. But after pulling out of the WARZONE INTERMISSION they choose to boost my ban to 9 hours? It’s stupid

It’s a pressing issue and should be addressed!
Be able to be reconnected to the game, with a system like in league of legends or CS:GO, and ban the player only if he wasn’t reconnected to his game is the solution to the banhammer problem think.

And to the op the banhammer is working perfectly fine, if it didn’t ban those for disconnects then quitters would just unplug their internet to avoid bans, not to mention if someone leaves on your game it doesn’t matter if they quit or if they disconnected you’re still down a player its still the same pain

You really cant quit any games with this type of banhammer. And those disconnects are still as you know considered quits. While it may not be fair it is the current system that is in place. I don’t know how they could address this to fix an issue that disconnects. I don’t see this changing at all…
