Now before we start with “well you have DNFs so…” nope, we aren’t going there. I get one DNF, the first time i have quit in over a month, and i get banned? 1 match and it says “well you quit too many matches recently” recent? no i havent quit since the last time where it took 3 games before it kicked in. other than that the only other DNFs i got were when the servers messed up. That’s not on all the 24 players WZ fault, they all didn’t quit, the server failed. and that happened 2 times almost A WEEK AGO. So the fact i can’t even quit 1 game without a ban because it’s counting DNFs almost a week ago is ridiculous. And i only quit when it’s legitimate, which is rare.
If you want to know why i quit the match, it was because i had an entire team of campers on CTF, they all just sat in the flag spawn room and camped it out. they made no effort to try n cap. so basically it was pointless match, the other team got it where you only have 1 or 2 stay back and the others cap. and the defenders actually stay a safe distance away from flag, not too close but not too far, so they can assist if the flag carrier needs help. but what is my team doing? All crouched and pre-aimed at a door. they were getting wrecked. it was going to be a pointless match where we were going to lose. and with the spawning, i was just spawn trapped and the second i spawn i died. So am i expected to just spawn and die for the next 2 min before the inevitable lose and than have to search and possibly get lined up with those losers again? since the block feature makes it so we can’t avoid them, i would have to leave early to avoid them. I play Team Arena to win, not to backpack 3 noobs who can’t play. they couldn’t even see someone walk up behind them and melee them with shoulder charge. they sucked SOOOOO MUCHHH.
So back to topic, i think this ban hammer is giving out bans that are just overkill. i think after 3 days or some 1 quit should not affect. i play a lot and i haven’t had to use the quit option for a month. Any other DNFs were the server’s fault. and i think being banned after 1 quit after no DNFs for almost a week is overkill. Now don’t get me wrong, i get the purpose of a ban but this is just too much. to say i quit too many games recently, counting DNFs almost a week long is too much, i don’t even remember what i had for dinner that day and you are going to go back that far and say “well remember those DNFs back than, well we are going add that to factor in the event of this quit now because we consider that recent”. to be honest, i don’t know how everyone in Halo 4 hasn’t all received a ban. you have to be extremely over the top lucky if the servers haven’t cut off on you at least 1 or 2 times the entire week. i saw people saying it was overkill but at the time i wasn’t playing as often but now i see it. this is way too much. i can count the number of times i have ever used a quit on 1 hand since this game came out. all others were servers dropping out. this happened alot after the update DLC. people where getting DNFs from matches from this. i know they dont want people disconnecting their connections but they need to have something in to tell that if the server fails, that it doesnt get counted on the players in that server and/or that there needs to be a limit of how far back the DNFs go. anything more than 3-5 days is just too much. but from some that i heard they went as far back as a month. and anyone who is going to post against this saying it isn’t a problem, i can go and find DNFs probably in your game history so lets be straight here and not talk around that the ban hammer is over the top with how far back it is looking and giving a penalty mark on all 24 players in a WZ match if a server fails.
