So I just was in a fireteam with my friend when he accidentally quit, so I quit to rejoin with him… And was banned for 7 hours 46 minutes. This also happened around three weeks ago when I was in a fireteam of four people, and we pretty much had the game in the bag on that underwater sea map. So one of them was showing me this trick to get onto the top bridge with a jump - crouch - then jump, and there’s a pool of water below it, which I fell into three times, and was force kicked out of the game, and banned for five hours.
And keep in mind that between this time and three weeks ago I haven’t played Halo because I’ve been too involved in school. I have no idea where this ban is coming from. And I have not been shirking in my games either, just check my K/D and performance of the last four games or so. Whether this banhammer is somehow justified or not, this banhammer is much too strict for anything. What happened to the good old days of Halo: Reaches frustrating but necessary banhammer of 10-60 minutes? When did that change for this -Yoink- ban? Can my ban be reviewed and lifted, and whatever may be on my record, if that affects anything, be wipes away as well? I don’t think someone should be penalized for quitting unless they leave more than twice in an hour, and I only quit two games tonight over the past five hours, and before then nothing; and I got banned for almost eight hours! Thank you for listening to my rant.
There is a ban thread at the top of the support section. I think you have to go through xbl to have a ban reviewed.

How does one ‘accidentally’ quit?
Thank you for your responses. I apologize for not using the official thread, for as you can tell, I am new and unused to this forum. Thank you!
Now how the hell do I post in the ban thread? It says I have reached my daily limit of two posts. What the -Yoink-.
And Hot Juicy Pie, he was downloading the Doom Open Beta when he accidentally clicked on Halo TMCC instead of Halo 5 on his home screen.
