I understand that people who quit games ruin the fun for everyone because it leaves their team at an unfair advantage, but…ok Ill explain. Its Xmas Eve and I had a few drinks, well...more than a few and I play a few matches and Im drunk and play badly, so I quit 3 matches. I get an 8 hour ban. Fair enough. Anyway, I go out do some things and come home 5 hours later and fire up Halo 5 to play some campaign while I wait for my ban to lift and low and behold, I get a message telling me Ive been banned for 19 hours !!!!!!!!!!! How did an 8 hour ban turn into 19 hours ?!!!!!!! Thats like a Banhammer of Thor coming down on me, two bans one after the other and the second ban is huge !!!

Why did I get a second ban before my first expired and why is the ban time so long !!! Halo 4 never had ban times that excessive, 19 hour bans, let alone 8hour bans are rediculous !!! Now I have to play Warzone & I don`t like Warzone. Yes its ambitious and its a big sandbox of fun…but its not the e-sports Halo I want. Damn you ! 19 hours…Grrrrrrrr !

I’m serious. There are times when I finish a game, -my only game-, and I get banned. What’s even better is they ban you from social playlists too. BWHAHA. Do they want me to play with my friend on campaign? OH SNAP, they took that out too!

Oh and stop putting me in 600 to 100 point warzones. Pretty fun when I join a game when my team has been 3 capped, getting spawn killed, and losing by that much.

Agreed, I wish I knew of these ban times before I bought it. Now it has to go join Destiny at the game shop. Back to Halo reach and some sensibility.

These ban times are insane!

It is Christmas eve and my wife accidentally turned off our Xbox to plug in Xmas lights and my ban time is 3 hours??
WHAT THE HECK.
I have spent nearly 700$ on my halo setup, buying the Halo 5 Xbox One and on a few REQ packs to get me started and now I am banned tonight for 3 freaking hours?
Seriously guys, this is not okay when we are paying customers, and because of simple accidents we are barred from playing. Just not okay.
It is upsetting and really making me regret buying this game…
So now I’m playing Tomb Raider which at least doesn’t ban you. (Not online but still…)
They need an appeals process and they seriously need to end this horrendous ban penalty.
You are losing a long time halo fan and I am very upset with this policy.

I’ll be honest man, I would fight for 24hr bans if it came down to it. If they want to be serious about e-sports they need to be really agressive.

Now, there should be exceptions like internet malfunctions and whatnot, which 343i can deal with accordingly.

Like, PC ban rules for popular games like League and stuff are extremely strict. You either adapt or not play man, ya know?

I am so gald that finally all the quitter, idler and betrayer get penalized so hard, even when I don’t own H5.

Hope that’s a lesson.

I got banned for idling right after I won a match… I mean I was literally playing throwing grenades and shooting people and got a hour bam for idling… Wtf.

Idk how all you people get banned so easily. I’m an SR 68 and haven’t been banned once yet. And I have bad Internet. I get disconnected all the time lol
