So I was just playing a couple parkour maps by myself in custom games and to exit you have you “leave game” and I did this a couple times and got banned from arena? Is this really a thing?

In the passed week you’ve quit three times.
That doesnt sound like much but they do add up and it’s not uncommon for them to ban you days after your last DNF.
No, there is no way that there is a ban on custom games.
I’ve used the leave option many times in custom games in Halo 5 either from actually playing custom games or recording clips for machinimas, and I haven’t been banned yet.
It’s most likely your DNFs in matchmaking that finally caught up to you.
