See that is suspectious right, ill adit my first ban was legitimately deserved but my secobd was a load if crap when i get disconnected and at the end of the match of the one i completed and get banned. This is why i think the timed bans are bs. Shoukd quitters get punished? Yesbut not with these timed bans I am more in favor of losing xp, rank, req points, and not gaining xp/req points.

I quit when I got to 20 for you, out of 237 matches…I didn’t go through your entire history so I’m assuming there are more than that.
Does anyone know how to make your bans not as long? Im up to 7 Hours now… I don’t want it to go to days of having to not be able to play.
I have DTF’s on my profile so go ahead and look if you like. I don’t understand exactly how this all works… Why does it keep going up and doubles each time? How can you make it go down for your next ban? This game is starting not even be enjoyable anymore because every match I play I’m put on a team where everyone is going negative it seems. About half of my games are like that one match last week there was a player in Gold Slayer who literally was 0-15…
HOW IN THE HELL DO PEOPLE ACTUALLY DO THAT?
I don’t get it… it makes playing a ranked playlist frustrating and makes me just quit because like I said it’s not enjoyable when you are trying to rank up and you have noobs on your team who really shouldn’t be playing arena and belong in Warzone or Big Team Slayer… I mean really it’s stupid how do I always get put on teams with people who have sucky K/Ds like how are they ranked in gold if they can’t even go positive? Or Idk maybe just negative 5 or so. I’ve done that a couple of times lately just because I get so burned out from playing with terrible people that I’m just playing to past the time. I’m not saying my bans weren’t justifiable because they are to a degree but I don’t think quitting and accidentally killing someone because they walk right into a pulse grenade that you threw way before he was anywhere near you. Honestly that happened twice in one match… I’m pretty sure he was just meaning to do that… for whatever reason. A way to fix this if 343i actually wants to fix this ban issue that has caused many people from playing arena now is to make it where Ban times are reset after every other season, so you have to play two season then your ban time resets… people shouldn’t be unable to play the game for 6 hours or even 3 hours because of quitting, yet I’ve heard of people being banned from halo 5 for a week or even two weeks, Doing this will make Halo 5’s Online numbers become almost non existent way before halo 6 comes if they don’t do something about these dang bans.

The longer you go without quitting, the shorter your ban will become (Eventually you should get “reset” so that if you fail to finish it won’t get you banned).
343 were very up front in the lead up to the games release about what would get you banned (quitting, griefing, and having a poor connection.) The bans are an attempt to deal with people who cause problems for other players. They only get to be extremely long if you are a repeat offender. If you were suspended without pay from your job/school for three days and upon your return you violate policy again and are suspended for ten do you complain about how harsh the punishment is? That is what progressive discipline is.
Stop quitting.

yeah I started thinking about that after I posted the comment. I was actually writing a paragraph about it… until I saw everyone’s comments and had to delete it.
I decided to see what would happen if I actually didn’t quit and my 7 hour ban went to 3 in half a week and I didn’t play that many games. So I think that the Ban Hammer is great now and for it’s function it’s actually a great thing for Halo since it’s full of quitters or people killing each other for rockets and doesn’t allow for new players to come which hurts the team so yeah I actually think it’s great… I had a problem before doing this test with it because I thought it would just stack infinite amount of times with no reset because I heard people getting 3 days to 2 week bans, as I stated in the earlier comment. Anyways when I was trying this out I’ve seen that the ban hammer sensitivity changes as well but when you’re at 3 hours you can only quit 2 times before ban while after that it’s one. Anyways with Grifball today I’ve seen that many people including myself will accidentally or purposively betray a team mate whether its to get a kill or because they keep giving the other team the ball on purpose… no joke the guy was a troll. Anyways, I’m sure they tweaked the ban hammer for Grif Ball probably changing the rules of grif ball. Also I think the ban hammer sensitivity doesn’t change for what rules you’ve broken it goes by your sentence meaning if you have a 3 hour ban you’re gonna want to be careful about grenade throws because that too can get you ban if someone kicks you from the match for it… although I would have to test to see if it changes from no sentence to all the way to 3 or even 7 hours and see if the sensitivity changes or stays the same and the time sentence is the only reset of the hammer. Also I should probably add I’m not the kind of guy to look at game notes on certain aspect of the game very often so I didn’t know if this was information was on waypoint or not. Now I’m ready for March & maybe Infection??
Thanks anyways guys!!
