That was a brute to get…
It was a lot of fun though, I tried for probably 45 minutes with my friend to get it. Still didn’t, and then I went back by myself to get it and I did the first time.
Lots of grenade betrayals…lol
So I just spent the last hour trying to find a video that had about 20 different ways to get to this skull, but I can’t seem to find it anymore >.< (Some of them were cool, like warthog launching through the map).
Anyways, check on youtube - there’s some good tutorials there. If you have a 2nd controller, no need for doing trick jumps

lol, refresh my memory…is that the one you had to grenade or rocket jump from the inside of one tower on the Silent Cartographer.
It took me a few hours to get it. But for some reason the two player spawn trick didn’t work, so I had to grenade jump. Also, I played Silent Cartographer today on the original game and found that it was impossible to get to the ledge where the skull is in CEA. Or maybe I just wasn’t really nailing the jump?
I myself remember trying the grenade jump and the rocket jump many, many times without any luck. What worked for me was using the grenaded Warthog on the backside of the structure to get onto the right ledge.
Looking back at all those attempts, I keep seeing those Benny Hill sketches where everyone is running around all sped up with “Yakety Sax” playing in the background. Run, grenade, blown into the air, fall to death. Repeat. Try it from this angle. Fall to death. Rinse. Repeat. Ack!
There is a rocket launcher right next to the warthog. This video shows the grenade jump from the back of the warthog but I found the rocket launcher much easier. Just climb up on the warthog, face away from the skull, get as close to the edge of the warthog as you can then jump backward and fire where you were standing.
Just sign in a second controller, get him to stand on the ledge, stand on top of him, stick his head and jump. I’m not that good at grenade jumping, but this worked first try.
