Bandanna Skull. How do I make it inactive?

I want to turn off the Bandanna Skull but can’t figure out how to do this.

I just started playing the MCC yesterday. I started with CE Campaign. Tonight a friend had me play some co-op campaign with him. He had both the Bandanna and Grunt Funeral skulls active. Now those modifiers have transferred into my single player campaign. I don’t want this!!

Yes, I do care about the achievements. But knowing that I did it fresh, all by myself, without any “exploits” is extremely important to me. I “want” the struggle. I’ll be going for a LASO completion eventually. Bandanna is not an exploit that I want to use.

I’ve searched throught every option in every menu, but I can’t figure out how to make Bandanna and Grunt Funeral inactive. I tried a hard shutdown with a power brick unplugging to see if that might work. I just deleted Halo MCC off of the Xbone HDD in the hopes that the skulls will disappear or at least become inactive after a reinstall.

I hope I’m just overlooking something. Am I screwed?

When you go to start a mission there will be options for setting up scoring and difficulty, in that same area is a section of turning on/off different skulls for the campaign. You should be able to switch them off from there. As an example here is a screenshot for Halo 2 Anniversary, it’ll be pretty much the same for CE(A)

Thanks for the reply. It’s a good news/bad news sistuation. Here’s what changed after the delete and reinstall:

The bad news is that when I get to the “Skulls” menu page, all of the checkboxes in both the 'Scoring"and “Non-scoring” skulls, while still unchecked, the larger box named “Choose skulls” still shows that 2 skulls are still active. However, the Bandanna is no longer one of the “Non-Scoring” ones. When I press “A” to accept the skulls setup I get this warning dialog box:

“You have turned on a skull with zero multiplier. Scoring, time and par achievements will not be recorded.”

The good news is that if I begin the campaign over by choosing “quickstart,” everything resets back to normal. So the situation is resolved.

I really don’t mind starting over from the beginning. I will be playing the MCC to death anyway. I have 2,886 active hours of play in Destiny. So… yeah…

Thanks for your post.
