so tired of matches that should’ve ended at the 6 minute marker ending at 15 because some guy captured the armory at the last 30 seconds. Those kind of people should have their ranks reset or something brutal.
No.
Remove the exploit instead of banning everyone who pissed off little Timmy in matchmaking.
At this point, failing to check the armory for people doing this basically means you deserve to lose. It’s part of the playlist’s strategy now.
I reported a guy who did it and somehow he found out. And his clan of like 6 people all started spamming me and cursing at me saying they reported me
I thoroughly blocked them.
Then i decided I’ll wait for the update to fix it.

So you’re defending cheaters. Okay.
So annoying im constantly running out to vheck on it instead of defending. * Deep breaths* just another couple of days intil the fix

No, he’s not, but this exploit isn’t a severe enough of a problem to ban people from matchmaking.
It’s a flaw/bug they’re using to help win a match. Sure, it might piss off the Defenders (which can be easily averted by leaving a player inside the Armoury), but it’s not hacking or anything that’d violate online multiplayer.
Like the guy said, check the Armoury to make sure no one’s attempting to exploit.

No. Banning people fixes nothing. People will continue to do it until it’s patched. So patch it.
Crying for bans is just people being salty about losing to a VERY counterable glitch. It’s no different from grenade jumping to spots in previous Halo games and no one got banned for that.
People defending the exploit are very likely the same people who use it to extend a game their team should lose. No way should its use be commended, promoted, supported, or accepted, especially when “defending” against it means a player has to sit in a base that otherwise has no action in it, keeping them from defending the point they’re supposed to be defending. I don’t know about bans, but punishments absolutely should be dealt out to repeat offenders.

I’ve never used it so good job on that generalization. But the cost of defending it is the same cost as the other team using it. That player ground pounding the base isn’t rushing the other objective. If there was no way to counter the exploit then it would be an issue, but as it is it’s just a bunch of people whining because they don’t want to adapt. I am not going to support people being banned because other people are too lazy to send ONE player to go kill the people on the other base.

HAHA i laugh at people like you who say its strategy tell me then if its strategy and is meant to be there why is 343i Patching it? i await your response which will fail to refute my point.

I literally just said I wanted 343 to patch it IN THE POST YOU QUOTED. Jesus Christ learn to read.
Patching the exploit is the solution to the problem. Throwing out bans for an exploit that’s about to be fixed is a band-aid that doesn’t actually fix anything anyways. I am not here to refute your point, I don’t give a damn about you or your unimportant opinions. I’m saying that fixing it altogether is the solution, not reducing the player count.

Banning people Teaches them a lesson not to do it. otherwise no one learns. its just like real life if you do something your not supposed to you get punished its no different in the game world.

It’s not 343’s job to be parents to misbehaving players. It’s their job to fix the problems and effectively make it no longer and issue at all. Halo isn’t real life, it’s an online game. The same rules don’t apply.

I didn’t generalize, I said “very likely”.
Regardless of ease of use, its not how the game is intended to be played and directly affects the win/loss records of players. Fact is, exploits like this ruin multiplayer games, players know this, and choose to use them anyway. That should be grounds for punishment. If these people can’t play a multiplayer game fairly they shouldn’t be playing a multiplayer game anyway.
I feel it is part of the game now because of how well known it is. Just the other day I noticed two blue team members sprinting their way to the armory. So I decided to sneak in. One of them was playing lookout, crouching on top of the armory, so I snuck behind him and assassinated him. Then I jumped off and ground pounded the ground pounder. Neither one returned.
Just keep an eye out at the armory every once in a while. And the patch is coming soon so I am happy for that.

Funny, according to the Code of Conduct on XBL, it is a forbidden action, so in essence, it does violate online multiplayer.

Really? I didn’t read anything about not being able to ground pound the armory as violating a code of conduct. I am all for it being patched and gone, but honestly, I don’t feel its worth a ban.

Bad game design shouldn’t warrant punishment of the players.
Ban them, reset their SR, and all their reqs.
It’s getting patched in the update stop crying about it
