ban quiters or send them to a different playlist

i’m sick of quitters… 3/5 games 2 or more people quit, the penalty does not do enough… after 2 quits you should be banned for 15 minutes, if your quit counter goes beyond that you should be banned to a playlist that only people with a high quit counter can join… 343 bans for idling, they should ban for quitting… or atleast doing something about it

People have asked for this forever now. Sad people have no work ethic and quit at the single most moment of a loss.

The banhammer needs to be more severe. No joke there.

Banning for 15 minutes is not enough. That would be nice. I think they should be banned all week, and up to two weeks from playing matchmaking.

I know it is strict, but who cares. DO NOT QUIT AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO WORRY!!!

i just went 51-11 in squad slayer cause 4 ppl on my team quit and 3 people were afk on the other team… i dont mind those situations but its dumb and shouldn’t happen as often as it does

What would define a "high quit counter? I’m not disagreeing, but there’s a reason idlers are banned, and the reason is called boosting. It’s basically cheating, whereas quitting is not. Quitters are merely annoying.

Here’s an idea my brother and I came up with: credit penalties.

At the start of every week, every player has a “percentage meter” of how many credits are earned at the end of every matchmaking round vs. how many are actually awarded. Think of it as the gross/net on a paycheck. The more the player quits, the lower his percentage drops and the fewer credits are awarded, down to 0cR (if the player quits enough games) regardless of how many are earned in the match. When the meter reaches 0%, the player is “fined” 5000cR for every quit afterwards.

To be fair, every player is allowed one penalty-free quit every day, because sometimes you just have to leave a game.

Granted, this strategy wouldn’t be effective against everybody, but I like to think that people who have played long enough to reach “Inheritor” don’t quit very often.

Technically “quitting” out of games isn’t against the rules, nor is it a bannable offense. There are times where I’ve quit because I had something that required my attention more than Reach. I’m not going to let a video game hold off important things, nor am I going to remain AFK in a game. For all you know, the 3/5 games you had those people quit due to other circumstances. Quitting is lame, and it does ruin the current game, don’t get me wrong, however what are you going to do about it? Reach doesn’t have a quick player rotation system like CoD.

You have two options:

  1. Submit a player review for the quitters being “unsportsmanlike or quitting early”,
  2. Play with a team.
