AGAIN !
I got banned by Leaving -Yoinking!- FORGE !
what the actual -Yoink- !
I really try to stay positive and level headed when random / annoying stuff happens in matchmaking but when I get banned for leaving my OWN forge session it takes it too far.
343 FIX THAT CRAP SYSTEM NOW !
Is it just me, or does it seem like ban complaints have been popping up more frequently in the past month or two?

They have and I have posted several times in various posts. As for why, because there is a reason for it.
Ever since the Ghosts of meridian update the halo 5 servers has been crashing considerably more than before.
It is SO infuriating to have “the ban hammer” strike you when you literally can’t do anything about it.
stop rage quitting in forge XD

Lurking behind the bush was a ban thread!. Also Infection is not forge.

Nope, it’s been pretty consistent.

It takes a few minutes to register as a ban. I’ve linked the ban thread. You know what to do! You can do it!
The reasons so many people complain about the ban is because it is unnecessary. With the advent of players being able to join matches in progress, the need to have a penalty for quitting is no longer present. Teams are not left unbalanced by someone quitting as now another player can jump in and take their place. It’s an archaic method for dealing with a non existent problem. Couple this with Halo 5’s horrible match making system that matches random groups of inexperienced teams against teams of highly skilled, highly organized pre-made teams that steam roll them without a chance and warzone farming, quitting is the only resort for those who don’t have a 24/7 pre-made to join up with.
If they must punish players for quitting, instead of banning them from playing, just count the match as a loss for them instead.

It has more to do with the fact that people do not want to take responsibility for their actions. 343 were clear about the rules concerning bans since before the game was released. If you violate the rules, you get banned.
JIP is not a fix for quitting. You are not instantly replaced the second you leave a match, more often than not you aren’t or it is several minutes before you are replaced.
As for matching against teams. Yes, quit and make it worse for everyone else in the match.
Quitting should count as a loss in addition to the ban system. (I understand it does in arena ranking.)
As above, please use the ban thread for all ban discussions. I’ll answer your query here though:
You weren’t banned for quitting Forge. At the time of leaving Forge your ban was already in place, but as the system runs 1 game behind the message telling you that you were banned only displayed after you left. The same would have happened after you finished your next game, left theatre or completed a custom game.
