Hi I know this isn’t where I should be putting this but I couldn’t find any support program on the Halo 5 website. Halo 5 keeps banning me, and it doesn’t seem that it is doing it for me quitting matches. The earlier ones have been for that reason, but now, the game is banning me after I finish games. So far these bans have added up to 36 hours and 30 minutes. I am not joking. This is not fair. If perhaps it is a delayed reaction for me quitting games, I only quit one game before playing another and receiving a 24 hour ban (most recently). This is ridiculous, and I can’t stand it. If these are delayed reactions, often I am lagging out of games, or I have teammates sabotaging me, or I have AFK or missing players. These are the main reasons I quit, and it happens very, very often for me, but it seems that even when I don’t quit this happens. Yesterday, I think it banned me after it thought I quit four times. The first two were because it would not let me leave in the 30 second intermission, and so I could only leave when I was grouped with other players, and the second two were for some of the other reasons above. Basically, I am being repeatedly banned from this game without cause, and I would like to see this glitch removed. All it is doing is driving me away from this game because I can’t play. So please fix this as soon as you can, preferably within the next twenty-four hours before the current ban wears off.
This was directed at any 343i employee that might happen to see this, but if any players are suffering the same or anything similar, I wouldn’t mind knowing about it.
I think if you just start finish most of your matches you’ll stop getting banned. Although I have heard that the banning is really weird in Halo 5.
Yo dog maybe if you quit quitting you’ll quit getting banned for quitting so you don’t have to quit halo 5 and play something else while you’re banned becuase of quitting yo
The system has its faults, but if you have disconnected (either due to server issues, or leaving the game intentionally), I would imagine that the records that they system keeps come into play in later games. Something along the lines of a probation period, where if you’ve disconnected from X amount of games over the last X days, then each proceeding disconnection results in a matchmaking ban, even if it is just one disconnect. My advice would be to either give the game a rest for a few days, or make sure your connection is running well so you don’t disconnect, and play through the games regardless of teammates or other issues. We all go through unfortunate matches, but quitting is only going to make it worse. Try some games of FFA so you don’t have to depend on teammates, or one of the two social playlists so you can play a few laid back matches.
5 DNF’s on the first page of your game history isn’t a glitch, and neither are the bans.
That moment when everyone on the website can look at your previous games…
Hmmm thats alot of wins.
Only 2 losses?
Hmm…
Oh look! 5 DNF’s…and 3 in a row too!

this is bull. so what if u quit we pay for this game and for the online usage of the game. i have teammates quit all the time leaving me alone or with one other player and this is by far the most team dependent halo yet. rarely do you win a man down and instead of going 1 and 20 playing 1vs4 i quit. no other online game that i play bans you from playing after quitting a couple games. i was just banned for 8 hours after quitting a game where i was left alone and this is the out come. in a way it is robbery to not allow a person to play after quitting when i or anyone pays money to play this. if people are being banned for name calling or unreasonable behavior this is different but from quitting a game cause i need to leave or my internet goes down during a game is unbelievable. so stupid

You again?
Feel free to play something else. Alternately, stop quitting.
So many self-absorbed, entitled children these days.
And as I said on your other thread, you didn’t pay for the right to be online ruining other peoples’ games by quitting. You paid for the game – 343 has the right to enforce that people follow the rules of conduct on their servers

Complaining in another thread doesn’t change the fact that you’ve quit at least 1/3 of your games in the last 30 matches. You bought the game, you didn’t buy the right to quit whenever you want and ruin it for both your team and the opposing team. I highly doubt most or all of your teammates quit those games where you decided to leave when losing. 3v4 matches hardly change much for me, as long as you’re smarter and more aware when you play. Your ban wasn’t from one game, you have no right to complain.

You have 10 DNFs in a 2 day time span… Yeah, enjoy your ban. Definitely deserved.
lol the people replying to this thread saying its justified are missing the point, ive had a ban glitch where i rage quit 11 games ( because i was farming grunts in warzone to get covenant destroyer) in 2 days and i got a 20 min ban but as soon as the 20 mins were up it gave me a notification for a 40 min ban and then after that time was up i got a 3 hour ban. All in one hit basically so the system is delayed and 343 needs to fix that. I understand banning after the first ban is up for example if right after you get unbanned you go and quit a game you should get banned but i dont agree with all your bans just appearing at once because it makes no sense and 343 need to fix that! think of all the christmas noobs who will quit games because they dont even know theres a ban system and then one day they will get like a 30 hour ban all in one hit for leaving like 20 games in 3 days or some crap.

lmao so true.
This sounds a lot like that glitch where I lose games. The other team has more kills than mine, but for some reason we lose? What’s going on?

I’ve had that on warzone…like the enemy get into my homebase because of a glitch that gives the enemy all 3 bases.

I laughed too hard at this, yeah man I know I suffer from that glitch too! except its the oposite I seem to have a problem where I have more points than half the enemy team but my team cant even barely scrape the surface with their points so i always lose

Damn hackers is more like it…
Okay most of these comments aren’t addressing something I said. This is happening even when I finish games. Most of these bans happen after I complete a game. In fact, I am now at 45 hours and 30 minutes, after completing a game. And fun fact, I was outnumbered on Stronghold, something that normally I would leave, but out of fear of a ban, I stayed. Guess what, Halo 5 doesn’t care, so it banned me anyway.
The first few Bans seemed to be directly caused by quitting, and while quitting appears to have some affect on the later ones, the last five or so have all occurred after finishing matches.
And for all of those people calling me a whiny little baby, I can take a loss. If I am genuinely outplayed by another team, I will take the loss and move on. If I played well, I am happy. If I played poorly, I make an attempt to fix my problems next game. If I am outnumbered, and it is causing me to get decimated, such as in Stronghold or Breakout, I will leave two times out of three. For AFK players, same rules for me apply. If I am killed because I lagged three times in a row, I leave, unless I haven’t really been lagging too much in other parts of the game and I am having a fun game besides. I might quit about one game in seven if I have a team of people who have about something like double the deaths than their kills. If it’s a slayer match, or even in Stronghold, I can occasionally stay and still get a positive KD. The thing is, these things happen very often to me, but I am not looking for sympathy there, and obviously the lag cases are on my end. I’m not sure if it can be checked, but if it can be and anyone can be bothered, check my win percentage. It is not 100%, because I quit whenever I am going to lose. It is at 57% or so, because I stay when the game is good.

Yes you paid for the game and so did the teammates you quit on. You downgrade their purchase and experience because you decide to quit when you are losing.
No other games do that because ranks dont mean the same thing they mean in halo.
I think OP, the more you get banned for quitting, the more easier it is to get quit banned. So let’s say you get the standard ban, I believe 5 quits in one day is 10 min or something.
Once you get that ban if you proceed to quit 10 times over the next 5 days you will get an hour ban.
Then after that if you quit 10 times over a week it’s a 3 hour ban, and so on.
So so basically don’t quit for a long while before eventually quiting again. And with the ban after completing matches, it’s just a bug where it takes a while to identify your previous quit.

Your three fresh DNF’s say otherwise. We’ve already established that your game history is public; come on man.
