Ihave just logged on to halo and a message has popped up telling me i have been banned from voice chat for a week, i am wondering why? because whenever i have been palying halo i have either not had my mic plugged in or i have been in a party. i have never talked to anyone or even made a noise in game chat while playing halo.
Apparently 343 is even monitoring party chat. true or not, I dunno. Just what I heard from others. banning people for using racial or gender bashing language.
well i really hope there not doing that because it seems like a huge invasion of privacy, but even if they are i have never said anything racist or sexist, im 100% sure
it’s either that or people you’ve beaten into the floor got so butthurt. they reported you for yoinks and giggles. Sorry I can’t help more though.
i have no idea why you got banned from voice… I am ashamed to admit i have anger issues whenever i “Lag” (Miss) and use quite a bit of profanity and have yet to be banned
Three DLC packs coming out soon is not an acceptable replacement for lack of maps at launch.
If 343i didnt say their bannin for sexism, racist ect. You would be fine.
This might just be me, But i believe that the “File Complaint > Voice and Text -> Voice” is where all these Voice bans are coming from. I don’t know if 343i/Xbox monitor Voice activity in Parties or not, but you should try contact BS Angel or Microsoft costumer support.
343 has a zero tolerance policy for racist, sexist, or otherwise discriminatory comments in game chat, no matter whether or not it is a joke, nor how severe. Say something even mildly discriminatory just once and you can get a permanent voice ban.
P.S. - If anyone from 343 reads this, kudos to you guys for this new policy. It couldn’t possibly have been put in place soon enough.
Are there people on this forum who can actually give me an official answer about what i did wrong? the message telling me i was banned sent me to a page saying this was where i could post if i had any questions about the ban.
