I hope you came here expecting some indignant “my brother got my account banned” whine, because this isn’t it.
I’m sorry, I idle sometimes, I’m really bad about it. I multitask (or multiplex) myself with a lot of things when I play Halo 4. I accept, acknowledge and respect my XP ban. 100000%. no questions asked.
That having been said, the “effect” of this ban has caused the seeming revocation of my “War Games Pass” in that, I can no longer access the “Castle DLC” playlist. And in fact, when I do, I’m prompted to RE-BUY and then download the maps in question.
This is absurd, bordering on fradulent. You’re forcing me to rebuy something I’ve already paid for. Your stupid front end tries to prevent this. I can tell from using the “Xbox Live Marketplace” link, that you’ve had to hack at it miserably to get it to do the right thing -> Prompt for WGP redownload or just show just the list of raw entries.
Either way, I’m sorry your menu structure wasn’t better designed for the WGP concept and/or for the incremental map packs. That having been said, revoking access to content that I paid for is a bit… excessive.
I mean, I already put up with being lied to: As was anyone else unable to access maps or specializations who were all told that it was because their XBL account had an invalid email address (Which is literally impossible as the system doesn’t allow it).
