So last night I was fortunate enough to play after being off for two days due to crashing (was the latest nvidia driver). The two rounds I played both eventually had a opponent drop out. What ends up happening is an eventual overwhelming all the way to the last man standings base. Now I like a easy win as much as anyone, but I feel for this mode there needs to be some sort of balancing. Atriox gameplay - we had 2 scarabs on the field at the same time.
Ship Master Gameplay - Huge Comeback… against one person
One easy and understandable thing that could happen is the leaving teammate’s units become the one left standings’. What if there are no units our few? A slight energy regeneration boost perhaps. I just know it isn’t very fun being on the other end of a teammate dropping out, nor does otnleave much incentive to stick it out and play solo.

If it would choose a difficulty based off the enemys’ rank, then that just might work.

I always thought the AI would be the best solution and it would give the original player time to rejoin if he just got kicked because of connection problems

Another good point. AI equivalent to the rank of the leaving player and a rejoin option up until the match is over sounds perfect.

Yeah that’s a feature I have been pushing for forever it was a big problem in the first game ruining a match because someone loses connection.
Sometimes loosing a teammate is not their fault, disconnections or power outages perhaps. I believe there needs to be a re-join option 3-5 minutes after the connection is lost. I can see how in Blitz it wouldn’t help much but there is that option.

Yes I know and this would help punish actual quiters and not connection lost because quiters would refuse the reconnect and others would not.
All that needs to be done is a simple system that checks to see if the player is still in a game when they search for a game and then have a pop-up that says
You are still in a game do you want to reconnect if yes press A if not press B refusing reconnects will hurt your online reputation and can be penalized with a short term ban.
AI replacement sounds like a good idea to me. Eventually it might even lead to AI being choseable as opponent when the matchmaking scene dies out and you can’t find opponents anymore.
On a different note (sorta) I actually ended up having to fight two opponents on my own once. My teammate stopped playing after the first two minutes and I was on my own against the other two. It was hard, but I managed to win anyway xD Was an amazingly fun game - the other two weren’t bad players, but a bit unlucky with their timings and the deck they used versus the deck I had made =3

That’s impressive. Did you have a large army? They only way I could see it possibly is if the enemy just ran out single units and come mid-end game they had a small army.

It was semi-big army with a Jerome. Whenever they tried to go for be (I was holding B and C), I soften them up with artillery, then hit them with Archer Missiles, killing off half and putting the rest close to death - then I used Jerome to capture whatever they had that was the biggest value target still living (usually tanks or Vulture) and moved my army inn to kill whatever I could and then pull back. At the same time I had warthogs above point A, stealing what I could of energy from under them, though they were getting at least half of it. Still - I endured, but would probably have lost in the long run if the game had lasted another 5 minutes or so =3

That’s awesome. That does speak to how much of a strong spot that is OPridge as they’ve deemed lol.
