Balance update ridiculous

Ive just played first game in 2s against a forge and he is OP as :poop:!

I had an army of cyclops and like 5-10 wolves and he had grizzlies and healers and he absolutely smashed two army’s as we had similar units.

he ended up with 263 kills and only lost 44 units. We built 264 units mostly the above two types of unit so think you’ve gone wrong here somewhere 343, cause this should not have happened!

Tech 3 units > Tech 2 Units. Also - Air beats Grizzlies HARD.

My teammate and I are Onyx/Champion and these two players we Onyx/diamond with the Onyx only at a 30% win ratio. These guys were not good whatsoever, we just couldn’t kill his units and scatter bomb is crazy it was practically insta kill!

I will be surprised if you don’t get more and more complaints about Forge!

Not when you have grizzlies. They have superior health and superior fire power. Build air to counter vehicles with some cyclops peppered in.
Air beats vehicles. Vehicles beat Infantry. And Infantry (still doesn’t) beat Air.
That’s the damage triangle in HW2. two for 3 so far is how it’s working. Cyclops are great vs. most vehicles. But the true counter to vehicles is air.

You have played 2000+ games and rarely lose…but you play 1 game against Forge and declare him OP? That seems like a rushed judgement. I’m sure you’ll find a way to beat him soon enough.

2 Armies of anti-vehicle and air at tech 3, plus sentinels from siege turrets and ark defence and he still wins, don’t think that’s anything to do with how we played, smells more like OP BS to me. We had no problem against his teammate with scarabs and healers/infantry.

He’s more like on the right balance spot right now.

I have also beaten him in my last match actually and he seems fine. I even did it with anders so maybe you just didn’t pressure enough? It doesn’t appear your opponent even built any units until around 7 minutes

Vehicle>Infantry, so Cyclops and Hunters are only SOFT counter to tanks. Don’t expect SOFT counters to be even close as effective as HARD counters(read: air).

I love it when people make OP or UP judgments on the first day of a patch. Anyone remember when everyone was saying Kinsano and Jerome sucked at launch? Or that Skitterer/Engineers was OP?

It’s also early to claim he is balanced.

I beat Colony 4 times today, does that mean Colony is in the garbage can? He wasn’t before and he got some early game buffs.

Currently I’m only highly suspicious of his hero unit. As I’ve had no experience against his late late game. I faced Scatter bomb and lost everything but I think that was on me, I did got mad though, I hate cheap nukes like Johnson’s emp and Colony’s brand.

It was worse than that. People claimed Jerome was UP before releasing.

This is very true- air is the way to go, without a doubt. Forge feels really strong, though- since air doesn’t cope with wolverines as well anymore, it’s become a bit more problematic.

I’ve found an AC infantry-air mix works best, personally
