Halo 4 has alot of diversity when it comes to weapons. The problem is that some of them are better than others.(loadouts)Honestly I don’t even think this thread will get results but if you Think the weapons need to be balanced post here. Who knows maybe we will be noticed. Its not so much that I don’t think 343 cares but that this is one post out of a billion the odds are not exactly in my/our favor.
i agree the weapons do need balancing
BTW: -Yoink- anyone that sits at the back of the map with a dmr and camo…
343: aint no body got time fo dat.
they say they are coming out with the TU this month so wait and see
I agree the weapons need balancing better, I am only a casual player but everyone on my friends list, who were all long term halo players have left to play battlefield 3 etc. All of them complained about imbalance of weapons, dmr becoming a mini sniper rifle, vehicles becoming easy kills, etc. Plus for Aussie players lag is a major issue.

Stopped reading there.
“…some weapons are better than others…”
Obviously? There are supposed to be weapons that are better than other weapons and have been in every single Halo before Halo 4 and practically every other FPS game.
It gives the incentive of trying to obtain that weapon before the other team to put it to your own use and win. It’s an objective.
Speaking load out weapons, yes, of course some of the weapons will be better than others but that’s only when you’re using them correctly.
For instance, if you’re using an Assault Rifle against someone using a Battle Rifle mid range, you’re more than likely going to lose. It’s supposed to be that way so you can be smart and choose the weapon for the situation.
So, with that being said. The weapons are balanced.

This isn’t balanced.
And I’m not even going to get into how illogical your argument is.
it’s obvious this game has zero weapon balance for loadouts
The best loadout is DMR with Boltshot with Plasma Grenades, this isn’t even debatable unless you are in a big map then replace boltshot with the plasma pistol and on a small map maybe replace plasma grenades with frag grenades.
That’s the extent of your customization because the other weapons are absolute garbage in comparison to that loadout.
So yes opie I agree the weapons lack balance big time. I thought for sure this wouldn’t be the case because why else would they implement a loadout system, I’m pretty surprised the game launched as it is TBH…I mean it becomes obvious within an hour of playtime that the DMR is the best weapon bar none in the game.

Why is the majority of people on this page bad?
If you can’t deal with such a minute difference in kill time, then change your playing style because it’s obviously causing you some issues with the game.
I run BRs constantly, nothing else, and I’m fine. I barely get killed by a DMR or Assault Rifle or whatever else when going against someone else. Most of my deaths are from power weapons, getting killed from a distance or from not getting first shot, or even by someone better than me. Not because all the weapons are unbalanced and it’s causing me a disadvantage.
Stop blaming the game on your own unskillful ways going about in the game.

dude…no…just no
yes I get that the assault rifle MIGHT out gun a DMR/BR at close-mid range, but that’s still assuming you trade the DMR for an AR, which once you reach a certain point you’ll realize that’s ridiculous because a good DMR wielder will out gun an AR user even at it’s preferred range. That’s not balance and you can’t argue it. Get 2 good Halo players, have one guy use an AR and the other guy use a DMR, who’s going to win all things being equal?
if a pro vs a noob and the pro used a carbine and the noob used a dmr the noob would win. this is not balance

The guy with a DMR because it’s a mid-long range weapon while the AR is a short-mid range weapon.
THAT’S HOW IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN.
Have the AR as a secondary if you really want to use it and have the DMR or BR as a primary. That way you have both and you’re balanced.
I use BR as primary and DMR as secondary but I rarely use the DMR. I only use it when in long range firefights.
> if a pro vs a noob and the pro used a carbine and the noob used a dmr the noob would win. this is not balance
Not necessarily because the pro would know how to utilize the weapon and be able to out maneuver the noob.
why would you use the AR as a secondary when you could have a shotgun and keep your perk slot free…
DMR and Boltshot are the 2 best loadout weapons, no argument…it’s not balanced.
the only thing you should be changing out is plasma pistol and maybe a BR if you prefer on mid sized maps
how is that balance? That’s like 8 other weapons that nobody will ever use…

I’m not saying it’s a good idea to, just saying if that guy really wants to use the AR but is complaining how it’s not balanced with the other weapons.
Also, you can’t set a shotgun as a secondary.
If you use DMR/Boltshot combo, you are ultimately a bad kid. No argument there and I will smack you in a 1v1 15-0 lmao.

in most cases yes, but with the DMR’s high bullet magnetism a noob that isnt very accurate can still level the playing field easily.
DMR: Lower fire rate to a bit slower than the BR
Boltshot: Slightly nerf range
Carbine: 1 Shot buff
LR: Slight unscoped rate of fire buff or slight unscoped magnetism buff
AR, Storm Rifle, Suppressor: Miniscule damage buff
That’s all I think needs to be done.

I concur.
Personally with loadout weapons so diverse I think it can’t be balanced.
