Please tell me that with the 3shot pistol other weapons will have balance changes too.
Also will grenades be fixed.
Edit: Sorry meant multiplayer.

With the competitive multiplayer, it’s going to be constructed out of special Reach gametypes. How well they’ll work out or not has yet to be seen, as the gametypes designed to approximate Halo 1 gameplay haven’t shown up in the TU playlists.
Nothing is being changed in campaign. Which is fine, because Halo 1’s campaign has really good weapon balance.
A lot of weapons seem like they will become to weak with a 3shot pistol.
Also is it an actual 3shot to the head or that 2bodyshot 1headshot like the other percision weapons.

In competitive multiplayer:
It’s 2 body 1 head, as there is bleedthrough. And yeah, Halo 1’s pistol is quite effective in Halo 1. That said, Halo 1’s sandbox as a whole is scaled a lot more powerfully than Reach’s is; Reach’s AR kills almost as fast as Reach’s DMR, while Halo 1’s AR kills almost as fast as Halo 1’s pistol (and has a huge magazine). Actually, were you to remove the power weapons, Reach’s overall sandbox balancing is fairly similar to Halo 1’s.
It’s also worth noting that, if they adequately adjust magnetism and overall aim assistance like they said they might, a 3sk will be impressive; most people have extreme difficulty pulling them off in Halo 1 proper.
In Campaign:
The people who say that the pistol is a 3sk in campaign don’t have any idea what they’re talking about. You can 1sk unshielded enemies if you hit them in headshot spots, and Flood fall pretty quickly to the pistol. But even elite minors take 4 shots minimum (and getting headshots against active elites in close through medium range combat in Halo 1 is a lot harder than it is in the later games), and the pistol actually becomes a fairly clumsy elite-killer under many circumstances at higher difficulties.
I was hoping it would be like older games where it was 3 to the head but more to the body so you would have to actually get 3 to the head istead of 2 to the body then 1 to the head thing.
Remind me if Im wrong but didnt in older Halo games it take more bodyshots to pop the sheilds than headshots?

You are wrong. In Halo 1, it doesn’t really matter, as far as shields are concerned, where the first 2 pistol shots land.
Thank you I have not played Halo:CE multiplayer in a little while.

I’m not 100%, but I think it takes 3 shots to pop shields, the last shot is a bleedthrough headshot. If it isn’t like that already; I propose that it should be when added into Reach.
