After playing for 8 hours I have some balance concerns and how 343 can fix them
first and foremost the needler is too good for mid range combat and dominates rather than nerf or change the way it is I think it would do better as a power weapon spawn like a skewer or sniper
The heatwave is usable against bots but I fear this weapon never being used against actual players who know how strafe and engage properly,in order to make this a more viable weapon either the fire rate needs to be increased or the projectile speed needs to be increased
I have never gotten a one shot with the bulldog,I think it should have a one very very short one shot range to counter sword users
The commando shreds but should have a little more magazine size maybe increased to 24 for more kill chain potential
and lastly the pulse carbine tracking should be toned down a little to stop it from outshining the plasma pistol as the shield melter but make it shoot faster projectiles to compensate for that and slightly buff the plasma pistol tracking
i agree with a little more to the mag for commando and alot of people said the needler is OP but ive never ben a fan of the needler so idk.
I’ve never seen a needler that’s actually viable in a Halo game so I wouldn’t go out and call it OP but the needler does just feel like an SMG now, in a way. I would slow it’s projectile speed by just a bit but the needles will track much harder like previous games.
I agree with the your statement about the heat wave. Unfortunately, I can’t see others and myself actually using it much in PVP without some reworks.
The Bull Dog should not have a one shot kill, that’s the Shotgun’s job. The Bull Dog does less damage, but fires much further away with a high rate of fire.
The extra mag size for Commando may or may not be a good idea.
I’m not sure about the pulse carbine, I like the sound of your idea but I would have to see how that would work in-game.
Na the Bull Dog needs to be closer to the H3 shotgun where at least when you’re 5 feet away its a one shot kill. I feel like I have to be almost kissing the bots to achieve the same thing with the Bull Dog.
