Badly Broken Pit Slayer Spawns

Can we fix Slayer spawns on Pit or remove from ranked? You can literally spawn trap teams at Needler and it will keep spawning them into that corner instead of using the rest of this giant map.

Also, is the title broken for anyone else? I don’t get “Empyrean”, I get “THEPIT_024”

On average I will get 1 really bad spawn per match there where i am immediately shot at and i cant even run away. One time i even spawned in between a gunfight.

There’s definitely bad one-offs, but teams can genuinely break games with spawn trapping in the corners. If you post up at tower, long hall, and other long sightlines with snipers or even just people to throw nades and BR spam, the game will keep spawning the other team in the needler corner despite the fact that they can’t get out.

This gives me Modern Warfare (the old one) flashbacks. Had a lot of games where I spawned into an ongoing airstrike or next to a claymore. Good times :slight_smile:

I’ve also seen at the start of one of the rounds where one of the opposing players spawn right next to your team of four. It’s pretty funny when you look at the starting radar and there’s an enemy right next to you that finds them self in a 1v4 :laughing: I can only imagine their surprise as well…. “Wait a minute this isn’t my team…”

It only happens in The Pit map, really. Maybe Aquarius occasionally, but not really on any other maps.

Yes, the Pit spawns are very bad!

I’m surprised this hasn’t been brought up earlier.

So, do we think Pit will be fixed or removed from rotation for S3? At this point as soon as you get it on ranked, you get people posting “lol broken map” in team chat…

I hope it gets fixed because i actually like the map. I wouldn’t think it should be that hard to fix. I honestly haven’t seen another map that has messed up spawn point like this one does. Another good one is if you stand in a certain spot with a BR or sniper and aim at another certain spot a person will spawn in your crosshairs pretty frequently. I don’t use that but when I found out it was pretty damn funny for a while.
