Bad news for DLC

I can’t understand why they removed the DLC playlists. Population isn’t a good reason. GOW 3 and Halo 3 both have their DLC playlists you know. I guess 343 just wanted more people to play Halo 4 instead of Reach.

Well that’s disappointing.

The least they can do is overlook people who are in lobbies for the sole purpose of getting DLC achievements, being that I have had one game of defiant since DLC playlists went down.

Honestly, this is -Yoink-. If I paid money for DLC maps to play on they should always be available even with a reduced population. I can understand if the population was under the amount that you can’t even start a game with 8 people, that’s on the players. But to remove a playlist because people would rather play some other? That’s some -Yoink-.

It irritates me that they’ve completely brushed off all responsibility with Reach so they can concentrate on an inferior game. But this is why I won’t buy DLC from 343 any more.

Geeezs, what’s with 343 and DLC’s?

All I hear is “I want a DLC playlist” but still no ideas on how to actually make it work.

Currently DLC is in every playlist. Put a team together and go play them. If any of you here remember the DLC playlist they where impossible to play without a team anyway because as a random you would be just destroyed when you constantly get matched against the same full party teams over and over for their spawn crushing enjoyment.

Even for achievement hunting… Your only option was to put a full party together and get them.

Without solving the problem of low population, talk of a DLC playlist will be as useless as every attempt at a DLC playlist.

As long as Microsoft keeps its policy of not giving DLC tied to achievements away for free… Don’t expect problem of low population of DLC owners to go away. It only gets worse and worse as old DLC owners stop playing and no new DLC owners take their place.

Honestly how much effort would it be to add a dlc playlist? They use to update the playlists weekly. This would take no time whatsoever.

Ugh, I hate dlc tied achievements. Dlc in general just isn’t really my cup of tea.

> Honestly how much effort would it be to add a dlc playlist? They use to update the playlists weekly. This would take no time whatsoever.

Because 343’s main focus now is Halo 4 and the development of future games. Why would they continue to fully support a 3 year old game (that they didn’t even make) when they have their own game out?. Be thankful Reach gets the very little support it does now.

Like the other guy said, if you want to play the DLC maps, get a group together. Theres loads of people on the Waypoint forums looking to play some Reach DLC maps for achievements or just for a game. All you need to do is ask.

This is complete bull. Just because, as in about any playlist in its prime, people roll in teams and “destroy” people soloing is no reason for the playlist to be removed. I didnt buy the DLC to only have the option to play in a team to get the maps, you should be able to play the maps regardless since you purchased them

This bothers me because my Reach gamerscore is odd-numbered…

This is the worst :stuck_out_tongue:

that is lame. I wish they’d freshen up Halo 3 and Reach.

The few times I play Reach DLC never appears and it sucks. A hate a lot about Reach but some of the DLC maps were what made it at least bearable.
