Bad luck with Join In Progress

Hi there folks, just thought I’d relate to you what has been THE WORST JIP for me to date. Most of us know how irritating it is to be placed on a losing team or in a game just moments away from ending. 343i supposedly fixed this somewhat but a recent game I had makes me question whether they are lying to us about that claim.

My game was in free for all Regicide, a playlist I frequent. Now Join in progress in regicide isn’t always that bad, I don’t win every game, and sometimes a mid join I’ve nearly won in five minutes but came in second. This game however I joined it and literally 30 seconds or less after I spawned it was game over.

I spawned and quickly got an assist then a kill before dying. Then game over. Gee thanks 343 - thanks for another loss. How the hell am I supposed to come back with 30 seconds left?!

Anyway feel free to post similar occurances that have happened to you while gaming in Halo 4.

that’s nothing.

I got jipped into a loosing game of dominion with a decent amount of time left. I had only just started playing when my teammate in wraith goes out of his way to betray me. luckily I was able to boot him the first time. unfortunately his friend was in the game and he just joined right back in. I didn’t think this was possible, but before I knew it I was getting betrayed by the same guy again. I booted him a second time pretty pissed off now. 10 seconds later he rejoined and I just pulled halo 4 out of my xbox and started playing halo 3 instead.

I’ve seen worse. I played a game, and the entire other team quit. It said we won, and then right after that, we went to black screen and people started joining, even though the game was already over!

Every game has -Yoink- holes in it, but I tell ya man Halo 4 is something else. I don’t know what the hell is wrong with people. I rarely got betrayed outside of grifball in reach. Occasionally there would be the jerk who did it on purpose but you could just boot him quickly enough. But in halo 4 it’s like nerd rage on steroids.

I join a game where my team is losing by like 150 points in Dominion and my teammates are attacking a friendly wraith just for the hell of it. Guess what I did?

Politely asked them to stop? Either that or just ignored it and went on with the game. Am I close?

I left lol

JIP isn’t really based on luck, the probability of being placed on the winning team is much less than the losing team since more people leave the game due to losing or lagging out, but most of the time they are getting slammed and rage quit, and you get thrown into a losing game but it isn’t that bad you lose one than go on to the next game.

When you queue up and you see names instead of Player Incoming: Press Start, Go to Network, Hit Xbox 360, then Hit Xbox Live, and try again.

I know it wasn’t the worst case scenario that happened and the next game was soon after, I just meant games you join that are on the verge of ending. It’s a big waste of your time compared to a jip at the middle or start of a match. If I was hardcore about my win/loss ratio i’d make me rage. I’m sure it pisses off those who do hold their win/loss in high regard.

^THIS RIGHT HERE^
Thats what I do all the time and it saves me a lot.
My worst JIP was when I got into a CTF game and we were down 4 to 1 with 5 minutes left and my WHOLE team wasnt going for the flag and no one was defending our teams flag. So guess what I did?
