So this has happened to me a few times lately. I’ve been in a game doing mediocre (playing solo) or possibly even having not so great of a game. Then dumb kids will actually stop playing mid game to send me some stupid message as if I am the reason for the loss.
I usually don’t respond to these messages until I have had the chance to check out this players stats on here or HaloTracker.
Well, every time it is some kid with a negative KD whose highest CSR ranking is diamond something or lower.
If you have a negative KD, have never obtained a Onyx ranking, and send messages complaining about peoples performance mid game, then you are the definition of a hypocrite and should focus on your own performance vs others.
Sending strongly worded messages blaming others for our failures is a very common method for venting frustration. While lag is usually the target of those made by more experienced players, such “kids” are more likely to go right to the person they perceive as being the source of their problems.
Well having never achieved an Onyx ranking…I think they are mad they are not getting their Participation Ribbon and they lost and had no one to pat them on the back and tell them they were the best.

Yes the fact that trash kids think I’m the reason they lose and take the time mid match to say so, when they have terrible records annoys me. Tis unbelievable I know…

Then why does it bother you so much? You are clearly better than them and you know that. Getting told you suck by people who actually do suck shouldn’t be that frustrating, even if it does happen all the time. Regardless, I recommend using the Focused Matchmaking Preference: I’ve been matched in some very close and very enjoyable games so far. Since these kids suck, apparently, then you should be able to avoid most of them.

If you’re having a bad game, then you probably are part of the reason why your team is doing bad so their trash talk would be justified unless they’re also doing horribly.
As a Lieutenant of the Tankmaster Bad Kids, I can vouch for my company and say that we do not engage in this type of behavior. So I’m not sure what you’re talking about.
I haven’t had this happen to me much thankfully, and not really at all recently, but it’s such a shame it goes on. Even if they had onyx or champion rating I don’t think it’s justified sending hate messages or anything of the sort, it’s a game, get over it if you’re losing, just play and have fun, and be decent humans

also if you were on top since the other kids are such trash, i have never heard of players doing worse in a game messaging their team mate who carried best he could. generally when someone sends messages its to one of the lower performing team members from that game

Respond to their message saying that you’re so sorry and that you literally just started playing the game on last week, and you’re trying to get used to it.
If they come back afterwards saying something about that being false, then just laugh to yourself that they’ve wasted so much time researching you while you’ve been enjoying the game.
And if they don’t respond and took it at face value, then be happy that they’ll think twice before doing that so someone else next time.

I wasn’t saying it’s a good thing to do. My point was that if they were gonna do it despite it making them look immature and douchey then they had a valid reason since he wasn’t playing well.

I’m not saying I was at the top of a particular game. But I understand that everyone has good games and bad games. I very well may have been part of the cause of us losing a game sure. But my record stands to show that I am a better player than the kids who stops mid game to complain to me. That’s the point i’m trying to make.

right but your overall record means nothing to them if you held them back that game. thats their point. yea overall you might be the more reliable player but in that game you weren’t. they have all the right to complain. but on the flip side (not saying you do this) but some ppl dont care about what overal stats say, with games like grifball and what not being able to pad your KD, or having friends help boost your arena rankings it really is hard for someone to tell if your service record is true to ones skill. and again im not saying you are one of those players, just trying to explain why those kids message you.
