Bad Excuse for No Visible Ranks

Using Halo waypoint to let us check our ranks is a pathetic attempt to try and please the Halo community.

The reason 343i isn’t implementing a visible ranking system is because they think it causes boosting, ridiculous. If people can check it in waypoint there’s no difference whether the rank is visible or in waypoint, people will still boost!

Give the Halo world what they are asking for to make this game close to perfect. I know 343i is reading the forums. The more people post on this thread the more attention it will get. I know it’s been 2-3 days since launch but this is what made Halo 2-3 so epic.

We demand a visible ranking system, don’t think it isn’t a big deal, and don’t you think there won’t be reporcusions for the path you choose to take. Keep in mind that a game’s community and players is what fules a game and keeps it alive.

Think 343i before you make the biggest mistake of your studios’ life!

Um… I don’t see how visible ranks would really change the game. Its not like its the end of the world because your rank is just a number in front of SR. Once you reach the highest rank people will know either way.

Well put it this way mate, you’ve got two choices, you have the ranks on waypoint or you don’t have them at all.

Simples.

Visible, in-game, skill ranks will make this game last much longer, and a lot more people will play it. 343i would literally be limited to not do this because some people boost. Halo 3 was perfect, and boosting wasn’t a problem to where it screwed up matchmaking until probably 2011, which was 4 years after release.

Cant you just see that SR thing or is there something different?

“SR” or “Spartan Rank” isn’t actually a rank and only shows how long you’ve been playing Halo 4 and how much “experience” you’ve tallied up. Much like with Halo Reach and its ranks such as “Nova” and “Inheritor”.

Please give us your support in this thread here for Visible Ranks:

We all want them but we must focus our firepower for 343 to listen.

Totally agree with you. We really need something to play for. Halo 2 was so -Yoinking!- perfect.

Oh but what is that visible rank on waypoint they are talking about?

Doesn’t really bother me, the only difference is instead of it saying Recruit it says SR 1.

No visible 1-50 ranks, when they implement a ranked system, not the sr.

Ranks are pointless now. Join in progress skews all the stats.

so how do you see you rank on the website
