Do you ever have those days where nothing goes right? Well, for me, today was one of those days…
In Halo 5, I jumped into Warzone and bumped into some folks who are notorious for being the best players in Warzone and always win, no doubt about it. I’ve bumped into these folks before, and I knew what they were capable of, so it came as no surprise when I was beaten senseless that match. But that wasn’t the end, I got matched against these guys at least 2 more times, and got dominated every time.
Then I switched to quick play. That was less then stellar, got my butt kicked multiple times. I was just so tired of playing Halo 5 because of the non-stop Achilles grind since last month, so I booted up HW2 for some Terminus Firefight to cool off. I played 2 matches, and as expected, the teammates I got were atrocious. In the first match, the guy quit after the first set, and in the second match, the dude I got was just straight up bad, not building any of the right things and being overall hopeless without me.
So I finally tried out the MCC’s updated matchmaking to see if anything was improved. The selection was fine, though H2A 4v4 1-bomb on Zanzibar just doesn’t work, but the actual matching was the worst I’ve ever seen. In every match, I repeat, EVERY MATCH, I got absolutely destroyed, and this was about 7 matches. I played some H2A ranked, then H2C ranked, and both times my team was garbage and the enemy team was godly. Bringing everyone back to Rank 1 sure has taken it’s toll on the matchmaking. There was one game, the H2A Zanzibar one I mentioned, where my entire team quit and I was hunted down by the enemy team for a whole round.
I tried H3 BTB because I was tired of all this ranked s***, and, while game plays much better and the colors are more vibrant, which I liked, I was once again put on the most useless team in history in 1-bomb on Last Resort. The enemy could easily detonate the bomb in the first minute, while we struggled the whole round to get even near the base. Why does every single match I play today have to be so unbalanced???
This has got to be one of the worst hours of Halo I have ever had the displeasure of living through. Not a good day to play Halo, not at all.
I realize this might not be a very productive thread and it might get locked soon, but I just needed some place to vent my frustration over today’s events. You can share some of your bad days if you want.
