At long last we can play halo reach on the Xbox one, but not quite as we remember it. The frame rate is very low (lower than 30 fps which it ran at on 360) making larger modes/maps unplayble and a lot of texture pop one that were not on the 360. I’m glad that the game has made the jump to current gen, but it hasn’t been smooth. All I ask is that these issues get fixed. If it could run at a solid 30 fps at all times I would be one happy Spartan. Hopefully we can get this fixed.
When I inserted the Reach disk on the XB1, it told me I had a update to perform. I understand this. But I have read about some issues with the game that I wonder if downloading the almost 8 GB update is worth it. I still have the 360 to play it on.

Everyone’s eyes are different, in terms of sensitivity to frame rate dropping. This, I’ve learned from years in the PC community. Some people it doesn’t affect as greatly. For ther’s it’s unbearable and hard on their eyes. You just have to try. There are also other variable that may help to offset the extremity of the situation, for some. For instance, not every iteration of an Xbox One is the same. Some may have slower/ faster hard drives than the other, others may have a newer revision board etc. Factor that in with the former human condition I outlined and you may be okay with it. I personally will only play it on 360. I highly doubt they will “fix” this issue, as Microsoft gains nothing out of working and re-tweaking a 5-6 year old title’s performance on their newer system, when they could just be focusing on quantity of BC titles, and not necessarily quality thereof.
Maybe it’s just the transition from Xbone back to 360 graphics, but whenever I hook up the ol’ 360, the game feels nearly unplayable for the first hour until my eyes get adjusted to the frame rate.
