Backwards compatability LAN party question

It has been well documented that the XBOne doesn’t have any real LAN support. Quite frustrating for those of us who love our Halo nights. With the news of backwards compatability we have learned that we will be able to play cross console. My question about this was if this will only be through live. One of my favorite features of the 360 was the AD-Hoc network. It made Halo nights set up so much more smooth (and require less cords which was nice).

So, can anyone check/verify if the XBOne would be able to connect to an Ad-Hoc network set up by a 360 in order to play system link this way?

I know we have not even had it confirmed that Reach and Halo 4 will be available with backwards compatability, but I fell confident that they will be. I ask because this would allow me to trade in my 360 and still participate in Halo night with my friends who have not/will not upgrade.
Thanks in advance for the help

Buehler?

Don’t trade your 360 if you still want to do LAN parties. The One will only work connecting through XBL from what I have read and seen already and it doesn’t look like they will ever enable LAN support.

They want you connected.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition supports LAN for Xbox One… That being said, i have no clue for the BC 360 games.

Keep your Xbox 360 it does have its benefits.
